does anyone know why might the eyedropper tool not work with patterns? i think i have done exactly everything in this tutorial but when i try the eyedropper tool part on a pattern i have downloaded from adobe stock, all it does is colours my shape black (the colour of the graphic) - I have watched so many tutorials about this and i still cannot figure it out

Yes, the animated phasing tool is available in Lumion 11.

Hello Benjamin, I really like your tutorials it helps a lot. But I had a issue with export pdf with colored layers, I follow step by step, but there is only black line in my pdf file
Are you using Sketchup 2024? I googled this issue and it's a bug with SketchUp 2024. It looks like they may have released an update that fixes the issue - make sure you update your SketchUp to the most recent version.

Hey Banjamin. Thanks for the great video! It really helped alot. I have a question I hope someone can answer. When I export my color by layer scene in a vector or hybrid format from Layout (2024). The final result is a black wireframe instead of the hidden line style that was selected in sketchup. What could be the reason for this? I tried to look it up on the forums, but their solutions have not worked for me.
Does your drawing in Layout look correct before you export it? I have had similar issues when exporting as hybrid - I typically try to export as vector for linework.
@@BenjaminNaudet Yes. In Layout, it has the colors and hidden lines as they are in SketchUp. I start the export process as vector and once it is done, the drawing shifts to the black wireframe and the pdf is generated like that too.
@@GlobalWarming_x Interesting - I would try starting a fresh layout document and see if the problem still exists.
I have made multiple fresh layout documents at this point. No luck unfortunately. Will update here if I figure it out
im having the same problem, no matter how many times i set it up, the final pdf always comes out as black and white lines only, even if i followed all the steps on the tutorial and it looks correct on layout or even sketchup
hello there,im working with sketch 2024 and when i try to export the pdf it ignores all the different layers and line colours and creates a pdf with only black lines, could someone help me with why that happens and how to fix it?
Do you have color by tag turned on? And then make sure to change the color of edges to "by layer"
which version of Photoshop do you use?
I can't remember which version I used in this video...probably the latest version available when the video was made.

The specs for the laptop I used in this video are below. Definitely better options for GPU and CPU today. i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 16.0 GB RAM GTX 1070 8 GB

I found a PNG image of people silhouettes on google and image traced them in Illustrator. Then exported from Illustrator as a DWG and Imported into SketchUp!

For the simplified 2D people & trees, where do you source them from? I think this is a great tip to ease the heaviness of the file.
I typically find low res PNGs on google and image trace them in Illustrator which creates the simplified effect. Then you can export from Illustrator as a DWG and Import into SketchUp. Or I will manually trace a silhouette person - simplifying them as I trace.

Hi Ben, my AO render comes out too bright and I've googled but I still cannot fix the problem. Can you tell me which settings to change in order the get the rich white texture like you have? Thanks
Hello - are you using the ambient occlusion rendering plugin? Be sure you turn off hard shadows and increase the occlusion distance slider. Let me know if that works.
Great video though I wonder....I only have 20 layers in Lumion how was he able to add more layers? Or is that his limit? Thanks
