Kaleid

The bumpers feel the same. If there are any tear down videos, I would look into that.

The HE has Microswitch buttons while the SE has membrane. There’s also a Back Button Latch on the SE. The HE has a tactile D-pad while the SE has a membrane one. I find the SE to have the superior D-pad. And finally, the HE has rubber grips.

It’ll register as a Switch controller. Each controller will register differently depending on for example if it’s on X-input or S-input.

@@Gamerlingual So for now, only a wired Xbox controller is the best option? I don't think every game supports a switch controller.

If your budget allows, the Victrix Pro BFG or Razer Wolverine V3 are better options.

I've seen projects for 3D printed setups for the Flydigi back button setups. So, it is possible. I'm not aware if there's one available at the moment. But check Aliexpress for those types of projects.

@@Gamerlingual went for it , quite impressed thumb-sticks take a bit of getting used to and had to change sensitivity on the game to match it close. And I wish it was just that little bit heavier I feel like it'll break easy. One thing I think is too much and that's the usb-c connection point so recessed into the controller half that would have been enough

8bitdo for sure. Just keep in mind ultimate C has no back buttons.

@@Gamerlingual I gotta disagree with this. The G7 to me has better ergonomics, rubber grips, better buttons than the 8bitdo. The only advantage of the 8bitdo is the D-pad, that's it. Everything else is the same or better on the G7, especially the shape.

I agree to disagree. As long as you're happy with it, that's what matters.

It charges as you play. I wouldn’t fully deplete it. It will preserve the battery.

I tested it again just now and it didn’t work. I tried the Mega Man and Contra collections to double check and nope. Turbo can be available in game depending on the title. Apologies for that.

The BIGBIG won is my recommendation

Spend the extra money on the Big Big Won Rainbow Pro 2. It's the best controller I've ever used and has all the features you could possibly need for PC play. It doesn't have hall effect sticks like the Gale Hall but the ALPS sticks feel great and I never had any issues with them owning the controller for 2 years or so.

You should be able to, but they can be disabled without the software as well

You can downgrade the firmware. Select 4200 version and you’ll be all set. If you need a step by step guide let me know and I’ll explain later

What phone do you have?

@@Gamerlingual A cheap Poco phone M5s.

When you have the controller connected, select the picture of the controller > firmware upgrade > 4200. You’ll see the 4200 on the right side. Select it and let it upgrade. Even when your controller turns off after 50% of updating, that’s normal. If that doesn’t work, find someone who has an iPhone with version iOS 16 or later and follow the same steps. It worked for me.

The thumb stick adjustment is meant to reduce the dead zone. Gamesir isn’t bad.

I would recommend the Vader over the GameSir any day. However, whatever you decide, good luck with your purchase.

@@Gamerlingual I eneded up buying the G7. Found a good deal for it and just went ahead. If the deadzones are Ok I'll keep it; otherwiseI'll probably change it for the Vader, since it also has a large deadzone but way more features. Thanks again!

You may need a Brook adapter like the XB2 or XB3. Out of the box and testing with my Series S, it didn’t work.

My favorite controller doesn’t have hall effect sticks. The Victrix pro BFG

They felt mediocre on the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra.

@@Gamerlingual Feeling can be subjective, but I appreciate that in two years playing MotoGP22 with conventional sticks I never was able to set the 9 laps in the mid 1:47's at Silverstone, or do 1:11's at The Americas track with 2 stroke bikes. 1:52's at Motegi with rain? that was like impossible before. I've found my gamepad lol.

I would get the SE without a doubt because it has the Membrane D-pad which is much better for 2D games and it has the back button latch. With the HE, you’re basically missing out on the rubber grip and membrane buttons which aren’t a big deal. So, I would go for the SE.

It could make a difference, but I don’t find my hands slippery when sweaty. Even if they do get sweaty, I wipe my controller after the use. Overall, you’re fine either way.

Victrix Pro BFG Xbox version, 8bitdo Pro 2 and SN30 Pro, or Apex 4. They’re all so close. But #1, Victrix.

@Gamerlingual I use the bfg as well for tekken 8. It is freaking awesome, I was thinking of maybe trying out vader 4 Pro because of the input latency and mechanical face buttons, but I will probably stick to the bfg.

I would highly recommend getting the Apex 4. It’s my second ranked controller and great for fighting games.

Stick with the Kaleid. If you want PC, I suggest the 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller, as you can also player wired.

@@Gamerlingual how abt 8bitdo ultimate C (or 2C) wireless. Ultimate Bluetooth is a bit expensive for me

Both lack rear buttons. Take that into consideration. 2C had 1k polling rate and extra shoulder buttons. I would still take the Pro 2 HE over those any day.
