My 60P runs almost 4 years ago. There are some changes happened during this long time for example plants.

The Mini Canyon is a very simple project used Tropica soil powder, coral sand, lava rocks and some live plants. Plants are used: bucephalandra wavy green/kedagang, anubis nana petite, lysimachia nummularia aurea, Eleocharis acicularis 'mini' and monte carlo. Weekly 50% water change with remineralised ro water. Light 360 degree usb led light from aliexpress/ebay.

I found this cylinder "vase" at IKEA and I couldn't resist. I knew straight away I have to do something. I made tutorial video because lot of you guys requested. The 10W led light with wooden base is cheap from aliexpress. ( around £15 ) I used black lava rocks and red moor roots for hardscape. This little bowl runs a year ago. No filter, no co2. Cheap usb led light 7 hours/day. Plants: Lysimachia nummularia Rotala H’RA Lobelia cardinalis mini Monte carlo ( carpet ) Immerse plants: weeping moss and on the top of the wood something from the garden. 😊 Seachem fluorite substrate and decor sand on the top at the front. 1 piece of drift wood. Main problem with my tank is that my guppies come to the surface to breathe if my bubler is off.. Mainly die to less area available for oxygen exchange due to small mouth of bowl.. Please suggest...
Unfortunately small bowl not suitable for keeping fishes in it. Reduce number of fishes or get a bigger tank.

I think this is a really cool setpiece but you're not gonna want to put fish in that. It doesn't seem like there's enough space for them, even most of the little ones 'cause they like to be in a moderately sized group.

Thank you so much for the video. May I know the capacity of the IKEA vase? and how long the water lasts in the vase in your ambient temperature and humidity before its gets evaporated; to say the half level mark?
Hi! The vase volume is 3.8 litres. With the hard scape it is hold around 2.5 litres. Under a week it’s evaporating around 1-2cm. Thank you for watching!
@@pearlfectfishtanks Thank you for the reply. That’s not much I assume, is it?. May I know your average ambient temperature and humidity of your environment. I live in a very hot arid climate and want to assess the feasibility of such a desktop paludarium in my climate especially if it can continue without collapsing If I go for a 40 day vacation.
