So aside from the stock refills, you can also use energel refills.
@@ZyloSol99 unfortunately no. I’ve tried. The stock refill is just too slender to accommodate anything else. If it could fit energel’s or any standard gel refill I think this pen would be more popular
my experience: jetstream 0.7 with smooth paper , it slippery like a glass, but it ok on cheap paper that got more friction
I've had some big problems with this pen leaking ink out of the tip while holding the pen. This has resulted in my next line often times being absolutely flooded with ink, and making very blotchy letters. I can't get it to stop doing this no matter what, all the pens in the 12 pack do this which is very unfortunate. I was really wanting to love the pens because of the vibrant ink.
Missed ya bruv
Have you tried a couple multi pens? Wondering if you could do your top multi pens. They are becoming more popular these days i believe. A bunch of students i attend college with have them but im too shy to ask what kinda pens they are😅
I really enjoy the energy and style of all your videos. Your super enthusiastic intro is really energizing psychs me up to see the video lol. Hope your school stuff goes well good luck!! Even if you can't upload I'll be subscribed for when you get back 👍
I share your love for writing instruments. I suggest you teach yourself to write in cursive; your handwriting would improve in speed, clarity and aesthetic. And it's how the flow of a pen should be tested, really.... keep up the good work!
@@Paucus I’ve actually been trying that, thanks for the encouragement 😊
These pens are cracked! I really like the jet-stream in 1.0 more than the acroball though 🤷🏻♂

@@Spectator007 facts
Nice pens with nice ink as usual from Mitsubishi but I prefer the look of regular Vision (or 'eye' as sold in many other countries) because these look cheaper and the cap is bulkier plus th grip section is nicer and more comfortable on the regular version. Also, the clip on the regular version is more flushed meaning when you place the pen in your chest shirt pocket it doesn't stick out much. Small things haha that make a difference for some of us. The only reason I buy Elite version is as of now they do not offer the assorted color version in regular Vision pens except for standard, black, blue, red if they did I wold stick too them instead of elite pens. (I am talking about the 0.5mm version not the 0.7 which they do offer in assorted colors). I do not like 0.7 for some reason.
I had no idea that they had a subscription service like that -- thx for the heads up
will you be continuing your subscription? personally I think you are quickly approaching an abundance of low budget pens and you might regret not changing the subscription sooner. Maybe think about switching to the ink subscription?
Awe...we love you too! I have all the Uni-ball vision elite pens. From the grey barrels, to the designer, to the standard colors to the Black-red/green/blue/brown/purple. I highly recommend trying all five of the black-X inks as stated in the previous sentence. My favorite is the black-red and the black-brown. I always get the vision eletes in 0.7mm b/c I feel that when I get the .5mm ones that they tend to have more duds in terms of smoothness...but you've just proven that even in .5mm you can get great smoothness. I've also found that when you stray into the odd and end colors like pink, orange, green etc., you can tend to get more duds. By dud, I mean it writes scratchy or the ink doesn't flow hardly at all. I don't know if you've tried the Schneider One Business Rollerball Pens yet, but they are amazingly smooth as well. They're about the same price and smoothness of the vision elites unless you get a dud but they come in less colors.
i got this pen some time between 2005 and 2010 , still have it , still awesome , still love it .
smudges so easily!
Word, desk, word…love your videos and your enthusiasm. So fun to see you vids. Keep up the good work. Can you go over pricing when you do your reviews?? Love your channel.
I love this pen! I have a whole pack of them!
I think the best refill for any of the G2s is the Schmidt 888 in blue + broad (1.0mm)
Sweet.
Any g2 over jetstream.
🎉
Great pen!
The cartridge with the hole is to fit specific syringes or bulb cleaners for cleaning the pen. Obviously those are common in Germany, but harder to find in other countries. Goulet pens and jet pens have great articles when it comes to cleaning a fountain pen. They also have such types of syringes.
@@nikossiotas thanks for telling me!
@@Deskofpens You are welcome! Diplomat magnum is a nice pen, with kinda soft springy nib. Some people like that, specially if they write cursive, others not so much, they prefer a typical hard nib without line variation in writing. Each to their own!
What’s the pen length? I want to order one but know one will disclose that information. ??
Do you know if the rollerball Waterman refill will fit?
@@JanWirth great question! And sadly no. But, I do think the ballpoint in general is a little more reliable. Others may disagree 🤷🏼♂️

Desk of Pens you are a Beast 🔥 🌊.
After hearing so many rave reviews about Pilot pens, I bought three of them. Frankly, I don't get it. If I compare them to my ST Duponts, the Pilots are anything but smooth, so I simply do not understand the love affair so many have with Pilot pens. The Sailor is IMHO much better, but even they simply cannot compare to Dupont's Olympios.
@@Xingqiwu387 which ones did you buy?
@@Deskofpens One Custom Heritage 912 and two Custom 823, each with a different nib.
@@Xingqiwu387 I Getcha man. Yeah I feel like Pilots are a hit or miss and that it’s a different style of writing personally
7 of those are terrible pens. The other is mediochre. None of those pens are the best. The Ohto is junk. Not pocket-friendly, at all. It just is not an EDC pen. The ergonomics are bad. Unredeemable. The Sharpie S-Gel breaks and is unreliable. Not Sharpie's best effort. With a better refill, OK as a desk pen, but does not survive EDC. Pilot has almost exclusively terrible pens. The G2 smears, leaks, won't write on many surfaces, is ugly, and is generally a piece of junk. Even the metal-bodied G2 still has all the same issues with the refill. The ink runs out very quickly, or dries up. The ink tint isn't too bad. Those grips keep germs, and are just nasty. Not for EDC. The Dr. Grip is not reliable. Won't write on many surfaces. An ugly pen. The grip is way too large. The size and weight are not juatifiable. The Pentel Energel is again poor for EDC. It's suitable for office. It's actually very ugly. It falls apart. It's very fragile. It does have vivid ink. The Sarassa Grand is also ugly. It bleeds, leaks, smears, clots, won't write on many surfaces, and that butt ugly clip catches on everything. Bad design. Why, oh why is the ink not vivid? If you remove the clip, it still is just a poor pen. I have several. The Uni-Ball Elite is really not one of their better pens. It's ugly, won't write on many surfaces, bleeds, and smears. If you have a rollerball, you need to cap it. They explode and leak. If you replace the refill and the body, not as bad. The Zebra F-701 is supposed to be durable, but often has plastic parts, and is very flimsy at the joint. The refill is proprietary. Way too pokey. The refill and ink are terrible. Zebra has some better versions, but to make this pen good, it needs a better refill. Not a pen for writing for any length of time. The older and newer versions are not as good as the second-gen version. Being a ballpoint, the ink is not vivid.
@@googleuser6635 cool cool, so which one did you like?
@@Deskofpens I carry a modified second-gen Zebra F-701 with a different refill, but this is one of a number of pens I carry. If pushed for 1 EDC pen, this would not be it. I have not found a perfect EDC pen, or I would only carry that 1 pen. Of more than 1,000 pens I've tried, they all have failed one or more tests.
@@googleuser6635 gotcha
Do you like any pens me cranky pants
I don’t think it’s a fail when you have to use a different type of pen or ink for the purposes of official paperwork. This is a great challenge :)
Man I love how chill your videos are. I just keep them on background while I work. It helps me focus actually.
@@nccastro653 That’s awesome! I’m glad you like them! I really like making them! Lemme know if there’s a pen you want me to review! I’d be happy to cover it! 😊
Great pen.
the ink and the pen go very well together. I see that there that the ink doesn't bleed through the paper, that is great. Waterman Serenity Blue does bleed through my notebook paper but probably is the low quality of it.
@@rikoflishas I’m sorry to hear about the waterman ink. I really wanna like that ink, but it just isn’t it for me. If you like then great! But if you wanna know about my ink it is Noodler’s 54th Mass.
@@Deskofpens yea, the paper I use is not great. Fountain pens are fun but now I get why the ballpoint is the universal instrument for writing.
