This channel is a conglomeration of videos covering a wide varietyy of subjects, with a laymans naration. I am passionate about birds and all nature in fact, so there are also clips of animals, natural wonders and phenomena from Australia all with my simple but fairly well informed descriptions. With the world seemingly heading more and more away from our natural world these pleasing video windows into the beauty that still surrounds us might help to put a smile on your face and a nice feeling to your heart and soul. I have also included clips of what I term 'Human Interest'. These are simply things I consider as interesting, quirky, fun, or a bit of each and put them up here on the off chance that viewers might find them interesting too. There are also few clips of some of the nicer things we humans can create; works of art, music etc and architectural things that are either wonderful or handsome or both. Please enjoy, share, subscribe and I hope you like what you see. Cheers Bretto

Is the wrolds weather changing, gee, I dunno..maybe?
This the first video I have filmed with an iphone. I usually used a proper digital video camera. So forgive me if its a bit shakey or whatever

A SCAR ON THE LANDSCAPE

This short vid shows an otherwise perfect and pristine wilderness which is marred by a limestone mine. The mine is slowly chewing away at the landscape which is also a National Park. One of those evil neccesities I suppose. Sad but true.

In 2023 I filmed this from my hotel room on 11th of April 2023. The hotel was situated on one of the main street leading down to the water, the Praca do Comercio and 'Old Town' area... A crowd of football ( Soccer ) fans celebrating a win over a local team get escorted by police, some in riot gear, as they cheer their way through town. I found it kinda funny and sensible at the same time. Only ...

Maybe the predator in question is the human.
Mate I seen 2 of them in your video, 1 walking huge with a pointy head, and another standing in front of a tree, then when you turn back he was gone. Need an email of some sort to be able to show you. Being indigenous and spent time in the bush, I have a keen eye, it wasn't that hard to see. Well done you caught them on camera, once you see it you should upload a new vid 👍
"When the forest goes silent, there's a predator nearby"
Not sure about this one. The Aussie bush can be deathly silent at times.
Most the time its cause if the fear pheromones we let off. Imagine a big hairless stinky ape walked past you
When you hear sudden silence in a forest, you need to run for your life. That means there is a vicious predator around such as a bear, mountain lion, or perhaps a bigfoot or were wolf/dogman.
Is there any kind of sign saying why the bells are there?
Run
My Grandfather used to say in the 1960s that evil spirits live in the jungle.. Back in the 1930s and 40s he used to be a chiclero,,,cutting mahogany trees for the British in the forest...i don't know what experience he had in the jungle at that time....but his conclusion was that evil spirits live in the jungle.(forest)..
he may well be right, there is more in the world than we will ever understand, however, by that rationale, there would be good spirits in the forest too, which is nice
Hey, at least if it is a predator, you were making it easier to track you by talking at your phone to an audience that didn’t exist at the time! Would have make a decent horror film-esque final video if something had happened to you 😉
I think they were silent because you approached. And you kept them silent by speaking while filming the video. I'm well aware that frogs stop singing if you disturb their croaking. The birds aren't as easily silenced, but maybe they were curious as to why the frogs stopped. Animals are attentive to the behaviors of others and don't need to see the threat to be nervous. A bit similar to how you got nervous, even though you didn't see or hear anything creepy.
Just some info for those who say in comments that they can hear cars and other sounds in this. I can assure you all that the nearest sealed road from this spot is about 30 Kms away and that this place is only accessible by a small single lane dirt rd that very few people know of and which ends in a dead end about 1km from where i filmed this. No Traffic in other words. The sounds you might be hearing are coming up from the river which runs hrough a deep gorge and echoes around wooded slopes .
Probably you that made the forest go quiet.
That never happens anywhere else I go, and Im in the bush almost every day mate
I’ve had this happen a few times while in the woods. Definitely makes me feel uncomfortable every time. No idea why it happens. I assume whatever wild life was in that area just left. The usual noises come back within 5-10 minutes it seems like. Never seen anything weird or some big predator whenever it happens. I am always armed though.
You had a big visitor close by
Yes they are out... 2 weeks back high up along a sandstone ridge westerly facing, walked up on a good size one sunning, noticeably this NW sunny position radiated some dec warmer than the SE side walked 30 minutes earlier.... Thank you capturing sharing her graciousness lady diamond 🐍
It's important to remember, humans are predators. A human is perfectly capable of spooking patch of wilderness. If nothing else, we are still large ill-tempered apes. However, that was a clear path. The birds should be used to humans, and the crows probably enjoy squawking at passersby. They're very nearly as ill-tempered as us. I'd probably leave to. Especially if I was alone and unarmed.
Macaques arent quite apes. The tail is just very small in some subspecies but they do have them.
Is this US/Canada or British Isles?
Neither.
You can clearly hear cicadas and insects. Man I know you want to believe “ the Yowie chose you and is watching you” but mate insects can be heard in the video.
Even dialing up the res to 720 it was still too blurred to see anything among the grasses.
Yowie time 🥳
I can tell you this as someone who has been in numerous forests and done a lot of hunting. When everything goes silent like that, it typically means there's a large and very dangerous predator in the area. Sometimes that's us humans but sometimes it is other things. And I have seen things I can't explain away easily before. If your hairs stood up, you were probably being stalked by some sort of predator. Dunno whats in that area but I'd have my head and ears on a swivel and on high alert and practice walking silently.
Stunning snake. Getting those rays!
I used to horseback ride and hike in some fairly remote forests. A ranger told me to yell really loud when I was starting my ride or hike, and to do it again when I was a good distance into the forest. It lets the animals know that I'm visiting, not hunting. When it goes silent, it's time to turn around and leave. My cousin and I were escorted by a mountain lion that had a den in one of our family's mines, and we crossed paths with a wolverine that was trekking up over a mountain. It was silent both times.
Still waiting for it to go silent…
I doubt all the “fuss” is about your presence so you must be onto something out there.. stay frosty and your head on a swivel,brother..
They went silent because they saw the most dangerous animal on the planet. The camera man.
This is recommendet to me while im trying to sleep in a forest right know, thanks youtube
Lots of noise, what you talking about?
“Not a freaking sound!”AMBIENT AUDIO ENTERS THE CHAT! Seriously, wish he had been recording before everything went quiet. All I hear is ambient noise, foot falls, and narration.
That was definitely something strange that happened there. I don’t believe in Sasquatch or big foot, but I do believe in demons. It could’ve been a predator, but I’m not sure what animal big or threatening enough it could’ve been. Dingoes perhaps? Either way, pretty eerie.
I hear the Aussie ones like to dunk on people by suddenly using them as springboards. Even your squatches have Aussie attitude!
The comments on this video have made up my mind that i will never enter the woods anywhere without a battlerifle and a sidearm from now on
*If nature is silent it means paranormal entity/entities spread, so start remembering Allah!*
Birds of different kinds often travel together in small flocks, foraging, etc. and it could be they just flew off and there was some quiet moments. Living in the country, I've found the natural world is often remarkably still and quiet when I stop to tune in. It is we humans who are usually so busy, even in our minds, we rarely hear and see the quiet rhythms.
Honestly, I wouldn't hang around to find out why.
Been living in Appalachia for over 15 years. While out in the woods, I’ve learned: “If nature goes quiet.. turn around, listen, look, and move towards where you came from.
I live in Europe and it's same over here ❤
This is so creepy. I thought it wouldn't be so obvious and I would just be wasting my time but I've never heard the forest so quiet that all you hear is trees rustling.
They’ve gone silent because a human turned up 😂 Biggest threat on this planet
Wrong
That's actually the opposite of how that works. Animals signal to others, mostly with sounds, whenever humans are around. Crows will do it. Other birds will do it. Animals very much communicate our presence in the forest. Things going that quiet? That's not normal, and it's certainly not a response to our presence. I mean, jeez, even if you don't believe me, just think about it yourself; if everything goes quiet because humans are around, then that would be normal and nobody would be talking about it, because it would always be quiet in the woods for us. No offense to you, sir, but I suggest you venture out from your urban jungle sometime. The anti-human progressivism, and its inherent ignorance, is quite apparent.
@@jsmith42690 I remember walking in the woods and just about 150 feet away there was a herd of wild boars. I was loud on purpose so that they knew that I was there. They did not go quiet, neither did the birds or any other animals in the woods. However, the boars did move and avoid me which is what I wanted. Surprising a boar, let alone a whole herd of them can be a last mistake. I agree with your assessment, when the woods go silent, something else is going on. It sure as hell ain't normal.
Maybe they were shy species that were on edge because the frogs stopped. I've heard huge choruses of wood frogs at a vernal pool stop singing when we parked our car too close.
You joke, but that's exactly MY issue with all of these "rules of nature". You're telling me the CRICKETS, the freaking CRICKETS go quiet because they're afraid they're about to get eaten by a bear!? Or a wolf? Nuh uh, man, something else is going on there. I'm definitely not saying skinwalkers or bigfoot, but there's definitely something going on there that does NOT obey ANY rules of nature.
Wait. I hear it way off in the distance...yes ! They are yelling Fu ck jo-bye-done !
All the animals in the forest trying not to laugh behind the trees 😂
Lol u hung around way to long, get the FK out of there already
Yowie.
Yeah. That's so many levels of wrong. I'd be running long before now.
Animals go silent as a survival mechanism when they detect a significant predator. Think bear or mountain lion here. I’ve also seen them react this way just before a storm. Wild things are extremely sensitive to their environment and can perceive things we can’t.
My tinnitus doesn't allow me these moments
Me too :/ I’m only 23 and have it in my left ear. Sometimes I can physically feel the ringing. Got it from mag dumbing a rifle in my backyard with no ear protection. When I smoke weed, it sometimes gets ear piercing loud.
@@truthfulpurpose Sounds like you have a blood vessel pushing against the ear canal, maybe you can burn the blood vessel with the help of a professional and that could remove the tinnitus. I am no expert though.
@@christianriddler5063 this could work? I may look into this
Based EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE enjoyer
Don’t get your hopes up, there is no cure, I got mine from a Barotrauma whilst spearfishing, it was so bad I actually was deaf for a few days and could not walk properly for 1 day. But I will say with time it has gotten way better, I hardly notice it unless the room is completely silent. I smoking in general is a very bad idea and brings it back to ear pearling levels. Lack of sleep is also bad. My advice is to quite weed firstly. I’m sure it will be more tolerable.
People that don’t go into the woods usually think hearing/seeing strange things is what'll be scary, but not hearing or seeing anything and not knowing why is so much worse.
“There are no apes in Australia” Meanwhile this macaque:
