Easy Foot Sweeps 🧹- BJJ Concepts
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.2 месяца назад
When it comes to foot sweeps, people ask me all the time, “How do you do that?” Here’s are some key details I am looking for when I go for the technique. Also, shout out to Prof. Elijah (@ednnero) as he informed someone that his head was down (the person thrown, not Prof. Elijah) when I was able to pull off the technique. Upon further inspection, I realized the role the head being down plays as...

    Nice. In Canada, we would say that you almost got “jerseyed”, like in a hockey fight where the guy pulls your jersey over your head and feeds you some punches. Difference here was that you were in clear control on top of the guy and you were setting up a nasty shoulder lock. Nice work!😊

      @mouthguardcomic 22 дня назад

      @@chrisdopez8443 I filled it myself, if you are talking about the Grappling Smarty. It is stiff in the beginning, but it will quickly become pliable. After a while, you may have to add some polyfil and adjust it. I use mine almost everyday and trust me, it will not stay stiff. Just don’t become disappointed and work with it as all of the videos of people using it is what you will be doing soon as well and the benefits are multiple.

    • @chrisdopez8443
      @chrisdopez8443 22 дня назад

      @@mouthguardcomic this is for the smarty how does it become more pliable if the t-shirts that are put it are holding it in place to prevent too much bending. The prefilled one I bought weights over 40lbs, how much does yours weigh and what did you use to fill it?

    • @mouthguardcomic
      @mouthguardcomic 22 дня назад

      @@chrisdopez8443 I used Polyfil (the brand) and cut up clothes and rags. I followed their instructions. I stuffed Polyfil in the arms up to the middle of the forearms and halfway up the calves. That allows the limbs to be light enough to stay in the air when supine or to hold its arms up when in sitting guard. I stuffed the rest with cut up cloth and stuffed it to my taste. I have the XL version and it weighs 55 lbs. From what I remember of their stuffing methods, they use cut up rags and not full t-shirts, etc. That would not allow you to stuff it tightly. However, do what you can on it now and continue to work on it. It should loosen up soon.

      It is a lateral knee bar. With the leg upright and toes pointed upward all you have to do push your hips out onto the side of the knee. Actually, it is more painful than a regular knee bar and you have to tap quicker. It looks like it might not be one, but it is.
