Learn Afro-Cuban Percussion
Добавлен 30 авг 2011
'Learn Afro Cuban Percussion' was created as an online platform for anyone looking to become an advanced student of Afro-Cuban rhythms. While there are hundreds of videos and channels teaching individual patterns or concepts in this style, Learning Afro-Cuban Percussion offers a systematic approach that not only teaches you step by step how to learn and build upon patterns and rhythms, but also trains you how to become your own teacher.

This was for a college music class project. Not synced/edited that great and frankly an old video. This was still when I was learning more than playing this music. After playing out in the past 2.5 years I will soon upload a newer one and provide a link here! Thanks!
Wow
Phenomenal!

Hi anyone know the name of this drummer? Mr drummer if your watching I really would like Skype lessons.
Hey! Sure, email me at mhoeckner63@gmail.com
Definitely elements of Antonio Sanchez and Horacio Hernandez 🥁 in there. Great job 👏👍
Just amazing!!
Bravo! Thank you for this gorgeous lesson. Are you an album? Playing with any group? Where can find out more about you?
Could you hear "cancion urgente para nicaragua" and tell me what rythm is it??
Sounds like your trying to merge a conga, and samba rhythim at the same time. I realize that trap playing requires fills, just remember though, each of those rhythms is actually one person playing their set part. You get going too fast and its just mush. Unless, that's what you're going for, mush. Kinda disrespectful though. This is cultural music, not just make-up as you go.
En qué libro vienen todos estos grovees? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing independence and dynamics!
WOW!!! I will be studying these for sure!!
🙏👏. Saludos desde Chile🇨🇱
JUST AWESOME! I love the variations

Markus, fantastic. What a great resource this video is. I am the Adjunct Drum & Percussion Instructor at Notre Dame. I just talked to your dad at ND via Zoom and he enlightened me to your fabulous videos. These are so good and educational too. I have some woodshedding to do. I will search for some of your other videos.

Yes ! Nice drumming
Yoooooo you killed this. Love rolls and variety of percussive instruments. Very nice!!!
Snare 👌👏👏👏
At least you got the right bounce\ feel!! There’s a lot of stiff sounding self proclaimed “latin drumming” authorities on RUclips!!!!!
Thank you! Though quite honestly, I think I sound pretty square in this. This was when I was in college.
