    My track bar has different length bushings spacers. One is wider length and the other one is shorter distance spacer on both ends. Which way is the longer spacer should be facing on both ends? I worked all day today on the truck in 100f heat. Got the Carli shocks and springs in. Torqued and aligned the tre track bar. Just confused about the spacer bushings that go inside the ball joints in which order.

    I understand the why for a explosion proof fan but the installation would not met NEC requirements. Your money might have been better spent by using a forced induction system with directed exhaust. Just a thought.

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 4 месяца назад

      Hi Steve yeah that's a good thought. Could also work. My only thought with that is that it may be harder to keep the incoming air filtered in a homemade system with forced air intake, but certainly would have been an option... The other downsided to mention is my setup doesn't have the typical downdraft of a official paint booth even though I did Mount my fan low to help with this, professional setup certainly do have their advantages.

    Does a paint booth have to be air tight?

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 5 месяцев назад

      Not necessarily completely airtight, but the path of least resistance needs to be the air filters, not some cracks in the wall were dust and contaminated air can come through. In other words would avoid any gaps large enough to see light through or any significant air flow. If there is could just use some silicone or caulking to seal that up as that could be an entry way for dirt and dust etc. Great question let me know if the answer makes sense. Thanks for checking out my channel.

    • @MotoXr917

      Yes certainly can be a little bit of a problem. I will typically use a sprayer to spray the paint booth party utilizing. Keeps dust down a bit and probably also static. Obviously don't want too high humidity for painting purposes, but as long as it's 40 to 50% or so should minimize static

    Water gets in the inner liner because of factory holes !

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 6 месяцев назад

      For the fenders there's a pocket between where the inner and outer fender meet where salt road debris and water are prone to collecting. That can get there from in front of or behind the wheel well or through the stakeholds in the bed. The rocker panels have holes on the inner portion of the inner rocker panel that allow road debris water etc to get into those. Those can be sealed off. Unfortunately no great way to fully seal off the fenders, but rigorous attention to metal coating can be helpful there. Hope that helps let me know if you have any other thoughts or questions

      Hi Steve, I had had suspension and linkage and all that stuff apart so I can make sure everything was greased and torqued and such, but have not had any of the front part apart yet. I did notice though if you do have the manual still maybe beneficial. Although it does not actually show instructions on how to do that, does have torques and diagrams to show what goes where etc. Track if removed does need to be realigned , but the belt and drive pulleys I'm not totally sure about. However if like a snowmobile should go back together all the way it came apart without any need to move things side to side/realign etc other than backtrack adjustments with the adjuster screws. Sorry don't have a perfect answer, but feel free to shoot a comment on one of my videos with questions or can even send pictures etc and I'll try to help if I can. • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 9 месяцев назад

      The paint booth isn't separately heated, but when painting I turn the shop furnace up which is a high-efficiency Bryant furnace. And the summer time I don't add any heat. Just try to keep it between 70 and 80 deg F

    Chain is original from the bike or different one?

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 9 месяцев назад

      Chain is different, in this kit comes with it. DID o-ring chain is what came in the kit. If adapting a used kit could use the original chain would just have to cut off a fair portion of it as the snow bike chain is significantly shorter than dirt bike

    Qual a medida da extensao da barra, do centro de um parafuso a outro, considerando um lift de 2 polegadas?

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 11 месяцев назад

      In my case since everything was sold as a kit so the company did the calculation for me, but in your case I believe the best way to do it is to have the vehicle at ride height/on the tires under its own weight & measure from mounting point to mounting point/center-to-center and that should give you your number.

      I think the best method is to align the front axle offset (equal) with the rear axle. With my front 2” lift with Thuren springs, the change in front axle offset was a 1/2” axle movement from driver’s side to passenger side. My track bar is adjustable when installed, so with the front tires on folded plastic garbage bags with the weight of the truck on the ground, the lateral adjustment was easy to make whether the chassis, the axle or both move. This alignment process compensates for any frame or axle mounting point misalignment or other issues. Setting a fixed track bar length prior to installation may not be accurate for each vehicle.

    I'd be cautious in terms of how many you have running at the same time but if you have a big enough converter can be more than one. I only have this one tool that is three phase. I used a typical 220 v plug in that way I can unplug the tool and plug-in another. I bought a little bit bigger unit that way if I had other tools I'll be able to use it, but smaller ones are certainly cheaper. When you call to order you can ask advice and they will recommend the correct size converter for your application. Works awesome though especially since I inadvertently bought that tool and thought I would be stuck with a tool i couldn't use

    Hi Ron, thanks for the feedback. I think it ended up looking pretty good in the end, but haven't had it out in the sunshine yet as getting it back together along with doing the suspension lift. All these projects seem to be a bit of learning experience. I Appreciate the feedback

      Thank you for the feedback. Still looks really great, but you’re right I can actually see a very small outline when lighting is just right. Certainly does highlight one of the difficulties with using panel bonding adhesive, but still probably a good option for those who can’t weld. Still looks really great but really appreciate the information. As always, I am learning from these projects. Thanks for checking out my video.

    How many 3 PH machines can be operated on one converter like the one you have? How is your single phase machine wired to the the converter?

    • @MotoXr917
      @MotoXr917 6 месяцев назад

      The size of the converter will dictate how many tools can be run off it and depending upon how many amps each tool is. I just have a belt sander running off mine and is wired to a 220v plug-in so I can disconnect it as needed. When one goes to order one of these, the company can help guide what size is needed for the tools that they wish to you use. Also only makes a difference if used simultaneously. If only 1 tools being used at a time, then a much smaller converter can be adequate.
