Had a 12,000 extension Meridian system 81C at DFAT. We had 243 11C's around the country. All tied back to Canberra using E1's. They were a HORRORSHOW to keep working... Every few months you had to do a software update.... Every 2-3 years we'd change batteries to the -48's in the northern areas of Australia.... Every so often we'd need to configure an E1. A few times a day a number would be added, or a call-group changed... Horrible.... Urgh...

can i use a cloud based freepbx with this? i got a 7945g and realized it wont work with 3cx, i cant have external ip address's here, everything is carrier NAT. i tried setting up freepbx locally and my 7945g just says registering an restarts over and over

Everytime I try to download new firmware from the cisco website it keeps telling me that a service contract is required. Can you download a file for me maybe? EDIT: I found it elsewhere by searching for the file name on google.

Hello to all the users who are facing issues with registering the Cisco 7941 with FreeBPX 16 and up, create a new SIP[chan_pjsip] extension , 1st in general setting chose a simple 6 digit secret and THE MOST IMP 2nd STEP , go to advance tab and turn these TWO SETTINGS TO NO (Rewrite Contact - No), (Force rport No), by doing these 2 steps it will surely connect.

Hi Have seen your other video showing initial setup of the 7941 phone as sip phone. I try to get my 7941 to run on a FreePBX virtual machine. The virtual FreePBX is on the same network as a DHCP server, but the Cisco phone don't get ip address from VYOS server. Have mad e all xml files with correct mac address + all settings in that file, placed it on FreePBX server's tftpboot directory But the Cisco phone don't get ip address I have a Aastra ip phone on the same network, it do get ip address and work OK I have tryed holding # + after some time when led's blink's, pressing 123456789*# it shows MAC address but don't get ip address, and therefor not getting files from Freepbx tftp-server (I gues) BR

If you try looking for the software on cisco's site it has gone. googling "cmterm-7941_7961-sip" was my salvation

I am following the same steps in the video for a 7942, and when transferring the files nothing seems to me, only the log indicates that TERM42.defaul.loads was not found. then the phone shows the Cisco logo and does nothing. How can I update this model?

Apparently, you need a service contract. I provided the serial number that is on the UP 7965g phone, but the serial number was not found in the CISCO database. Are the files for 7965g SIP and for UP 7962g, available from another location?

Is it possible to use the built in TFTP on FreePBX? I was able to flash a 7965 using tftpd but I want the config files to be on the local FreePBX server. I placed them in the tftpboot directory on the server and made sure the services were started and enabled at boot, but the phone remains unprovisioned. Will I need to always flash the configuration file via tftpd (or similar) when registering to FreePBX?
