Battle against Buddy’s brain worms
Actually insane, holy shit. Also just learnt that the Stern M17 can take out armored opponents. Neat.
"Listen to me son... I'm your dad. DESTROY HIM!"
Tony is already mutating here, look at his arm (the full one)

Looking back, could this be (sort of) related to the fight against Vergil in Desolate Expanse? Funny enough, whatever this thing is, the game refers to it as "Void", both names (Void and Vergil) start with the same letter and also have the paralelism of fighting you inside of a dark room, barely allowing you to fully see them The most interesting this is the track's name: "Don't Leave"... it could lead to other possibility, and is that this is connected to the mushrooms, i remember that at some moment during chapter 3 "they" straight up beg Buddy to not leave them behind
is there a fergy ben post unics?

There is! Little warning, don't try and finish him off once you KO him, it ends badly.
@ArloKlenczon i mean ost, i fought him in both of his forms, it was bad, but i really see it only in full ost version of undone soundtrack, but i want to listen it separatly
@@downsdays8207 I don't think so at the moment.
@@downsdays8207 There was on RUclips, but it seems to have been deleted.
Aside from extremely minor shading, they didn't change his sprite a bit.
i apways thought he was just saying, “work, work, work…” over and over again, trying to keep his lackeys busy or somethin
Poor mudmen man
Can’t believe Apple Kid went down this path…
Maybe it's Buddy's memories of Brad showing her the stars in the night sky. That's probably why this tune is exactly like the one we all know... This is really cool foreshadowing.
The tune we all know? You mean the Sireen’s Call? Because I don’t hear that motif in this song.
No, I meant "He's My Dad" or the Armstrong motif, which also appears in "Dusty's..." and "Buddy's Theme". If you listen closely, the beginning of the track is absolutely identical.@@xerosin
Scary music for one of the funniest mutants in the game
For the first few seconds, I generally thought that there was no music in this fight, but when the singing started... I really felt uneasy. It just conveys such a strange depth to this funny-looking mutant, as if that's what it's meant to be.
Funny enough, he was a lot creepier before he mutated
Wow I never knew he was even speaking dang
doesnt really fit the game but it sounds cool
that one toy that eats coins update:1000 views
Omg thank you so much!!!!!!
My guy went from the silliest mutant in the series to a genuinely offputting and dangerous encounter, also what an odd choice of music for him. Unrelated to this but i'm still curious about that mutant covered in flowers that you can find while climbing the Taiga, since it resembles Buddy's mutant form for some reason (His name was Rodney, iirc), you can fight it with High Hatred and it won't fight back, also i remember it doesn't even have the "boss colapse" effect and doesn't give any exp upon dying, assuming Undone didn't retcon the fact that Buddy took joy during Painful, could it be foreshadowing about Buddy's mind succumbing to mutation due to all the overstumilation? Same with the hidden "fight" in the apartments
The flower covered mutant's name is actually Lazlo, and it does both give some ExP and have the "boss collapse" effect. However, the room in which Lazlo is in has a distorted, shifting background. Even when Buddy is (relatively) sane.
Maybe it’s a sickness induced hallucination? if you interact with it with low hatred (or high mania, not sure) it says “Breathe.”
Hey could you upload the version of “voices hum” that plays during the fight with Bobby?
Tony Dove bad ending. Well, one of them anyways...
Maybe I'm just dumb but I don't understand how you can have Oswald in your party while also triggering the unics event to happen
@@coalnose Just don’t use the phone until after recruiting Oswald.
Low relationship Rando theme in part 2 be like:
Such a heavenly theme
I swear I missed like half the game. Someone REALLY needs to make a wiki.
Boy do i have good news for you
ah i was looking for this at a low pitch
I wonder how Katz went feral and what happened to him after we left Rando land
Talking with him during daytime he mentions something about "mother nature reclaiming what she rightfully owns", i wonder if it has something to do with that We have seen how some plants started behaving weirdly, like the flower-loving guys at the desert that claim how their pollen has this calming effect on them, almost as if the flowers could brainwash them somehow, another example is the root-forests where it's implied that the trees in there are sentient The Cobalt Fields are filled to the brim with vegetation which is an odd sight in a place like post-flash Olathe, maybe Katz got exposed to the bizarre effects of one of those plants?
Something I noticed is that both Tony Dove and Gasper Joe only become Golden Opportunists if you push them into it, which IMO makes them even creepier.
I just "fought"... this, i decided to not attack it, the combat ended itself, i'm still confused about what the hell that was... perhaps just a sign of how having a high hatred is affecting Buddy to the point of seeing stuff like this, maybe even speeding up her mutation process (since she already took joy in painful, and whatever this is, looks like some sort of deformed face), the fact Rando didn't have a reaction after "this" makes me feel it's just Buddy's mind melting away
By the way, before it leaves, it makes a strange sound. I listened to it a few times, and I think it’s saying “I love you”? You also lose a lot of hatred afterwards. It’s definitely Buddy going crazy I think.
"I had pets once.....Let me tell you about them"
Wait who tf is this guy
Some random who was late to the awc, and fights you after vega's arrest.
Is that Tony Dove in there?
Yeah. If you kill his brother then run away he goes to the sewers and becomes a mudman.
His corpse still shows up at the place were you confront Jackie, and oversight i guess
As I was making the picture for this, I noticed all the mudmen have bright, magenta pupils. Dante has the exact same eye color. I'm not sure what that means, but it's interesting.
Kinda interesting how "The Seeing One" gloves and mask are magenta as well, his poncho/cloak even matches the palette of the mud, not to mention how he's just sitting on it rather than being "dragged in", it even looks like the mud it's dry (the red skull guy despite not being buried, he's choking on some). Also, he doesn't "confess his sins" to people that approach to him unlike the rest of the mudmen Rando's reaction upon confronting him seem to imply he knows something about him that we don't (perhaps what kind of "gang" he belongs to and that his apparent foresight abilities are to be taken serious?), especially because of how upset he gets after hearing his words. Oswald warning him about not talking to him adds a lot to this too
Katz also has magenta pupils, even when he's normal. Maybe it's not sigificant?
@@xerosin Katz's mask doesn't count. I think its more of a stylistic choice
His belly button looks like Robin’s eye
How much comtent was there in undone? I feel like i missed so much
I just now discovered that if you interact a few times with one of the crabs in Rando Island, Buddy will press a hidden button behind it, i'm not sure what it does and i haven't found any info about it The amount of things you can miss in one run is insane, like the different events if you interact with some Npcs without wearing a mask, or the optional encounters if you have a high Hatred stat, not to mention the extra options/outcomes for having the optional party members (Mr Fantastic can get you the truck keys for free; Oswald can convince certain shopkeepers to lower their prices... on so on), also how much everything changes at Randoland after being taken by the Unics Gosh if they add even more stuff to chapter 1 in an update, i'm SO in for it
Wait where's the crab?
@@xerosin Outside of that locked warehouse with lot of empty gerenators at the beggining of the game, i was testing maxing out Buddy's hatred and i wanted to check if i could fight the crabs, and well, that happended lol
@@PequenoVividor Another thing, if Buddy is a Joy addict, when Yado talks to you in the courthouse, he’ll offer to get you to a safe place, allowing you to skip the Judge fight and keep your items.
@@xerosin i also found a little easter egg during that one flashback at Oswald's old house, if you interact a few times with that locked door in the kitchen that leads outside, you'll be able to open it, there's nothing but a black void, you can't do anything but go back inside, once you do, that empty frame over the couch will change to a picture of what seems to be someone crying (or that's what i think it is, i couldn't figure out the spritework very well, maybe i'll sneak into the gamefiles to check)
Part of me really hopes we learn more about the mud in part 2, but part of me also loves how unknown it is. Though I am curious if its (indirectly) connected to the golden opportunists.
I think they might be connected, for example, Tony Dove (the soldier you find right after Rando joins you) can turn into either a Mudman or a Golden Opportunist based on what you do during the fight
@@PequenoVividor It's a bit of a matter of the adoptation of a certain mindset I think. The mudmen seem to have embraced their own wrongdoings and adopted a state of nihilism, believing their mistakes can never be rectified and they will always be terrible at their core. The golden opportunists lack dialogue but seem to be more sexual and bloodthirsty in their nature. Each one we meet has gone fully nude and is covered in blood (usually their arms). While with the mudmen there seems to be some "choice" to it, I wonder if the golden opportunists embrace a depraved part deep inside them, or are influenced to become like this by some unseen entitity (lots of paralels with the different depictions of the infinity franchise.)
@@bread8036 During my first playthrough i didn't pay much attention to the mudmen since the things they said disgusted me greatly so i tried to run pass thru em as quickly as possible, now, after my second playthrough, i see that the mud almost seems to be like some sort of "divine" punishment, since one of the judges (Akira) starts getting buried in mud once he breaks down, or the Rando soldier that gives you free cigars also appears covered in mud once the night sets in; We can see some puddles of it across the different areas of the game, and the most interesting thing is that it's always of this sickening green color regardless of the terrain. Those puddles may either mean there's people who have fully sinked below... or they managed to "get out" of it... perhaps that's how the Golden Opportunists are created? Like, they have fully embraced the kind of scum they are, they don't care about seeking redemption, so they get out from the mud as completely soulles beings, no more remorse or care for self preservation anymore, they just want blood or getting a taste of that pristine meat.. it would explain how they melt away when killed, they simply sink back into the earth, no trace of the body, a proper grave for someone that can't even be cosidered a shadow of who they were before... eyes are the window to the soul, and theirs are completely white Conected to the mud or not, the Golden Opportunists seem to be victims of some sort of abnormal force as well, a few of them seemed like decent people, like Katz who only wanted to be in peace along his pets, he somehow turns into a G.O and is even capable of eating his own beloved cats just to be able to kill you, or Tony Dove who just wanted to leave the island along his brother and didn't even believed the girl existed, Gasper Joe (one of the guys in the undersea bubble) also turns into a G.O if you tell his leader that the statue they worship isn't special at all. I find interesting how seemingly normal guys are suddenly converted into G.O, yet a massive freak like Bolo who prides himself in being a pervert is somehow still himself (An absolutely disgusting being, but still rational and is able to comunicate, not in a "zombie" like status as the G.Os), i mean, the dude literaly calls himself a "Golden Opportunist" Sorry for the longass comment, i love Undone so much
@@bread8036 What bugs me out the most about the G.Os is how some of them seemed like somewhat decent people before suddenly turning into... those, yet a depraved b@stard like Bolo is still "normal", he's still a pervert but he still has his personality, honestly that's what makes me believe the whole "Golden Oportunists" thing is caused by some sort of entity or extranormal force... Hell even Mr Fantastic would be a perfect candidate to turn into one yet he doesn't... About the mud... something interesting about it is how we can see many puddles of it around everywhere in the game, it has this greenish color that doesn't even fit the palette of the ground you find it on, not to mention how this mud seems to suddenly emerge whenever it finds someone that caught its interest (Papa Chuff, the randoboy that gives you free cigars suddenly turns into a mudman at night, and one of the judges, Akira, starts getting surrounded by it once he breaks down during the battle), it's almost like some sort of "divine" punishment/intervention: if you're a sinner and don't jump into the mud willingly, then it will come for you instead... Another thing is how we can see various puddles of mud in places where it doesn't belong, it always has this greenish-rotten color regardless of what the ground looks like, i wonder if those empty puddles contain people that have already sank below... or they're there like that because whoever was inside managed to break free... we see how some of the Mudmen seem to take pride on the bad things they did, or how they try to minimize it by convincing themselves that they were in the right... who knows... thinking about the connection between the mud and the G.Os, perhaps once they have fully sank into it, the mud takes with it whatever was left of their humanity, and lets out the empty carcass into the wild, it no longer feels any remorse (maybe it never did) and does whatever it pleases, some say that the eyes are windows to the soul, and the G.Os have no pupils, they don't even get to keep their names after they turn, implying that even joy mutants are still more human than them haha, also it would explain why they all appear out of nowhere and already covered in blood (perhaps rather self harm or damage received during the process, all the G.Os are pitifully weak and prefer getting touchy than properly fighting)... also, once they are killed they simply melt into the ground, like if the mud was calling them to come back, they join the scum of earth, is what they are... Sorry for the rambling about my cringy theory but i love this game so much, and sorry for the late reply but youtube decided it would be really funny to delete my comment instantly as i posted it
@@PequenoVividor Chuff turning into a mudman isn’t that sudden, he’s already covered in mud when you first see him. Another instance of the mud seemingly coming for people is the Seeing One, the red masked person Rando can talk to at the beginning of the Crossroads. Mud like that is very out of place somewhere dry like the Crossroads.
what is this? where is this?
After Vega’s arrest, if you knock on apartment 100’s door 4 times and have high Hatred… this happens.
Honestly think it's just Buddy lumping them together in her head. She hasn't seen this before.

@@xerosin Yes, reading this back without context makes me sound delusional.
@@xerosinI also believe these guys show up after Bolo like, sent out that announcement you can encounter if you don't go to where rando's friends are, so these folks likely heard Bolo's message and "joined" his group

It's disturbing how these guys pop up at nighttime, like if there was some sort of paranormal force turning them into "golden oportunists" rather than just them being the generic perverts in the LISA series, not to mention how they melt away when killed... is this how the shadowy figures are created?
Not to mention that some of these "Golden opportunists" used to be soldiers from Rando's Army, theres also another thing in common is that all the golden opportunists completely lack pupils.
my boy we don't see each other much
it'll take some time
But somewhere down the line
We won't be alone
to this day i still wonder how these Rando army soldiers managed to get converted into Golden Opportunists, and why they turn into shadows once they've been killed
I think it’s similar to what happened to the mud men.
@@xerosin what happened to the mud men if I may ask?
@@Spesnom Not OP, but some NPCs who hate themselves begin sinking into mud, including one of the final bosses. Rando can talk to one of his soldiers about this, and neither of them understand why this is happening.
