Worn internals cause the low pressure when warm. The oil gets thinner when it gets hot. Try a thicker blend.

Yeah fun 15w40 and next fike you teamst aomethibg get a gauge qith a lower range. Like 0-100. If you can keep 10psi at hot idle your fine.

Go to a higher weight oil and make sure you're not using an orange oil filter. Problem should be solved.

I added an HEI distributor just before adding the Holley Sniper BBD system to my Eagle Wagon and after chasing down a vacuum leak I couldn't be happier with the set up. Starts perfectly, better power and response for sure. It's my daily driver and this reliability and "start-ability" is amazing. I ran the HEI for a short period on the carter BBD and I just never had that carb tuned well enough to know if the HEI made a difference for a carb set up. Great video!

Nicely done! I've got a different issue. I've got a dipstick from a Concord on my engine, which is super short...I need to get an aftermarket dipstick and get it cut to size and then add my add/full marks. I figured I'd get the dipstick, insert it until it bottoms out, measure the amount visible from tube and then cut that amount off the end of the dipstick. Then I'll get an oil change...insert the stick and where the oil line is will be my full mark and i'll go with 3/4" down for the 'add' line. Keep at those video's, the more out there the better. Always looking for inspiration and support for my 1984 Eagle Wagon daily driver. Cheers!

That might be a #10 x 24 nut and might another to lock it in.

Is the suspension stock? If so, what size tires If not, what is done to the suspension and what size tires. I have an 88 eagle and the suspension is old and sagging so i need to redo it.

Hi! Maybe you have more experience with this stuff.. I have XJ with 4.25 lift and 15x8.5 wheels so maybe you know, will the WJ lower control arms make room for 12.5 wide tires?

My Eagle has an HEI ignition too. My dipstick tube did not require any modifications, but maybe that’s a year difference. My car is an 86 and yours looks like an earlier one. Nice car!

Good job! I swapped my 80 CJ-7 with a 258 to an HEI distributor. In my case I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to switch back to the original Ford Duraspark system so I tore it all out in order to make the engine compartment simpler. Besides, the insulation on the wires was as hard and cracking. i didn't have to modify my oil dipstick tube. Probably just a difference between the Eagle and the CJ. If you're interested, I covered the swap on my channel.
