Buddy Rich - Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie
I'm 61 and really glad this is hard I grew up! From one minute to the next, real music even if it doesn't rhyme!
34:10 thunder sheet
I'm 7 years old and I listen to this hot hog shit
Its so weird hesring this without any of the reversed sounds, nost of the backing vocals missing, and without the delay on the last cello note. I know the Beatles completely ignored stereo until 1968, but it's seriously messing with my head to think that those weren't what the band wanted on the song. Those make the song what it is for me. Still great though.
The person playing the cello is Peter Williston who performed in the London Symphony Orchestra. It sounds like the cello is being both plucked and bowed. It's also being delayed on the first part of the ' solo ' . I used to think Harrison used an echo-plex to get the desired effect.
Happy National Gorilla Suit Day to all who celebrate! OOK!
Please put the entire album here!!!!!!!!!!!!
Way better than that John & Yoko shit.
UMRK vibes before the day. FZ is the tops...
What a sucky song!!
First time I heard this, I was 14 year old 😮I’m a bassist, and I thought this version or rendition was the best.
Correction I have Burnt Weeny and One Size on vinyl and overnight sensation on CD! Many more on want list including King Kong thanks Merry Christmas
Not my cup of tea. Actually, I think I spilled my tea all over myself trying to cover my ears.
I'm 70 and i love the great master FZ
I'm 74 and still cannot get enough of King Kong!
Video shot by Phillip Griffin
King Kong, the audio guide to his chaos
You voted Orangeman, of course ?
damn, I think just pissed my pants, Good tune.
Peculiar thing about this document, it was never notarized.
Im 40...love psichedelic music but this Is my first knowing of progressive rock....rules......
this shit is so fire
KING KONG
Yoko: "you onow what would make this song better? Nyeeeeeggggghahaoaoaohoaoaohaoahaaoahaoajahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!"
it would not be out of place on this album whatsoever
It takes a lot of talent to sing this grossly out of tune!
... j'ai fais un peu de sax ... mais quand j'entends didier malherbes (blomdido bad de grass in "gong", ou i an underwood) ou john coltrane, j'ai envie de faire de la batterie ! < 3
Wow. I was expecting the hate, honestly, because I saw the lenghth and Solti was definitely a hit or miss, but this is actually very good. The transitions are great
0:00 i. KING KONG ITSELF (as played by the Mothers in a studio) 0:50 ii. KING KONG (its magnificence as interpreted by Dom DeWild) 2:16 iii. KING KONG (as Motorhead explains it) 3:54 iv. KING KONG (the Gardner Varieties) 10:14 v. KING KONG (as played by 3 deranged Good Humor Trucks) 11:00 vi. KING KONG (live on a flat bed diesel in the middle of a race track at a Miami Pop Festival . . . the Underwood ramifications)
The greatest drumsolo clip with Buddy ever. Unbelievable 😮❤
This is the finest work of the Mothers of Invention , of course, that is my opinion, but it was always playing on vinyl continuously when I was studying through university in the seventies.
Aaugh!!!!!¡
Whip it on 'em
Jean luc ponty 'plays Zappa's king kong' is my favourite (so far heard
I came in here to listen to this song and I couldn’t care about Zappa. Now I hate him and my feelings are justified.
Ugh, sounds like he facilitated yoko ono. What a mess.
I never really listened to Zappa, just never introduced to him, but I would describe this song as scribbling.
As a recording artist, singer Jo Stafford was highly regarded for her incomparable pitch. Only a singer who was supremely talented would know exactly which notes to slur off-key to turn a song into the equivalent of fingernails on a chalkboard. While Stafford never won a Grammy Award for her "straight" work, she and her husband Paul Weston won the Grammy in 1960 for best comedy album.
17:12 Auf dem Gletscher
I would play this at parties to see how long before my friends would look at me oddly and say “what’s wrong with the music?”
For some stupid reason, I never checked out this album until tonight. Holy hell! Better late than never I suppose. This is grade-A quality Zappa for sure.
je pars regarder "200 motels" des même après l'écoute ici !
pinaise ! je ne me souvenais pas que tu étais venu écouter !
... mais je me le conseille !
Ah yes, I love penis music
Who'da thunk a bassoon could be so cool??
