I think you should focus on what the voices are telling you. There are things that are called introjects and I have been reading studies of people who are healthy that still here voices. Stay strong!

If i could help you at all i have a slew of mental health disorders schizophrenia being the main one. I quit taken all my mental health meds i was on Haldol as well it just made me tired and feeling like a zombie.. and now i just take Gabapentin for (pain and it helps mental mood, sleep, addiction alot of things), Methadone (opiate addiction) and smoke weed (just because it helps me with anxiety and depression).. all 3 of these have helped me tremendously honestly..

Thankyou for speaking out. My Son is 39 & has been dealing with bi-polar scyzophrenia for 15 yrs. For the most part it has been heartbreaking over & over. Watching all of his lifelong friends drop off like flys. My heart breaks with his always. As Im writing this he is in jail for disorderly conduct. Alot of people say"Is he on his Meds" . Well no as he almost died 3x's ,not too anxiouse to go there . Any suggestion I would make to him results in a profanic lashback. He is a very gifted guitarist & has lost all desire for it or anything that he was passionate about. The only time he has been on meds recently was when forced to do so by the courts & when that is over he stops taking them. He argues screaming profanity at demons we cant see. Cries out in pain because of injuries he receaved while being chased by demons against the traffic light. He was hit from behind by a truck in the middle of a crosswalk. I dont know what to do or what I can do. Allways get the"Our hands are tied" or"He's an adult" . Can you steer me in the right direction. I become almost as handicapped as he is as I am worried constantly & also unable to function . Thank-You for Your Truth

You should see if abilify is right for you abilify is newer and actually increases sex drive and people lose weight on it

Abilify is less sedating than other meds it’s relatively new but it works for me you can ask your doctor if you can get the gene drug test it will tell you what antipsychotics work best for you I took the test they swab your cheek in mouth and you get results it tells you which meds to avoid and which to use hope you’re doing well !

The way I look at it is people whom are getting help from doctors should have restrictions 1. No semi-automatic guns 2. No long guns 3. They should have ammo limits (For Example No More Then 3 Rounds In The Magazine) not just ban firearms all together because that is what is stopping our people with illness from receiving help.

The way I look at it is if someone has a mental illness they should be evaluated by a mental health provider and have someone who you are immediately close to so they can supervise the person whom has the illness until they are granted to be by their self, I mean I know where the government is coming from we live in a new age where violence is all over and it’s sad that people can’t protect them self’s and that is why people don’t go any get help with there mental illness because they are afraid of losing there rights but they have so many officers out there that have PTSD cause of what they see and there have been cops that have killed them self’s and we never hear about that it’s just the citizens I mean look at military people go into the armed forces and come out with all types of issues and they are still allowed to purchase the laws are just dumb and it’s only getting worse.

The old ones are the only ones that work for me. The newer ones make me gain weight and have no effect.

I'm taking trilafon myself, and it works very well for me. Yeah, side effects suck, but if you wanna get the hallucinations to get less frequent, it works. It takes time, however. A long time. It's the best one I've been on, and I've been on lots for years. This is probably the best ever in reducing my symptoms. Paranoia gets better, but nothing will make it all go away. Take the good with the bad.

I am searching for an anti-psychotic that doesnt cause weight gain, currently on seroquel, can you say that Trilafon has less weight gain than the newer anti-psychotics? Thanks great video

i was taking years ago,and i dont have what it is currently used for,it was back when i was 16 and it was to help me sleep,but it did the exact opposite

I agree what you saying about Ritalin I used to take Adderall but Anxiety was overweighted. I’m ADHD my mind is racing and I have anxiety on Ritalin but not as bad as on Aderall,

just started on prolixin. atypicals gave me diabetes.

Stimulants and antipsychotic cancel each other out. I don't how is it working for you guys. I am on invega and I tried using adderall , and adderall does not work for me.

I have paranoid schizhophrenia too so i know what you are going through. Do have any benzodiazepines as medicine or olanzapine? I have zyprexa (olanzapine) and 60mg oxazepam i can live pretty normal life with that. And when you said in this video psycho clinic that was pretty funny :) And those symptons are almost same as mine. Do you ever talk back to voices?

It has made my voices and my self relaxed. And all of a sudden, after increasing to 8mg, cigarettes seemed disgusting to me. I love it because it doesn't stop anything at low levels unlike Haldol. On Haldol you feel no thoughts at all. Don't recommend resperdol either. Man boobs are a side effect. No thanks.

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia yesterday after trying to make it stop ever since it started getting worse since i was 7yrs old. I didnt want meds i wanted to be normal i didnt think i was crazy. i luv just perphenazine :) tho it didn't seem to help much when i was in a serious episode. more for maintenance i guess. i've been on perph for a couple years now and the dyskensia is getting bad. to the point where i'm not taking my medicine every day. the side effect meds they gave me makes me have psychotic thoughts??? ugh. kinda dumb. so i take it maybe once every few days. wonder how long i will put up with these side effects... i wonder if i'll go crazy again. i'm scared, but i don't want "parkinson's" too! the medicines are terrible. i spent 2 years in bed..that's no way to live either. gained 50 lbs. i hope i never have to grace that cold bed in the hospital again either. i swore and was thrown on to a bed by 3 people and had to watch WWII videos? if they didn't want me there than why did they admit me? it cost me 20000 dollars to sleep on a cot for one week while they ran every unnecessary test none to man. i've been seeing doctors for 10 years with no diagnosis. then i read a book on schizophrenia...i can tell them what i am now, no need to undress me and torture me anymore. but thanx yeah it was an experience i will never forget. rather see spaceships and go through worm holes personally.

Trilafon is one of the best APs in the world, mid-potency, less sedation, less akathisia, Haldol sucks, anyway 6mg a day and it's been a Godsend, I get no side effects. I take 3mg at night and 2mg in the afternoon, originally took it in 1985 now then years later tried it again and works like a charm, also on Klonopin for anxiety and calms any EPS potential.

I'm really glad you posted this video. I dont have schizophrenia but I have had some REALLY fucked up drug trips and I feel your pain man. It must be tough, but stay strong and try to find happiness in life! Live well my friend. :)

I have never tapered off my meds. I just simply switch. I got put on Haldol the other day, and just stopped the prolixin, and started up on the Haldol.

I have a family member that was prescribed 15mg. But since the tablets come in 5mg and 10mg. We are trying them with the 5mg at bedtime only. How did you stop taking this medication? Did you taper off of it? Is your schizophrenia gone? Are you taking vitamins as a substitution?

I was taking it 1mg in the morning and 2.5mg at bedtime. But I'm off this now.

do you take prolixin in the morning or at bedtime?

It makes me so so very tired. I'm at 3.5mg now. I have anxiety still, and paranoia.

Yes, I did take Trilafon. It worked pretty well in the begining but faded away. I have been off it for a while now, but didn't have any crazy side effects.

I recommend help. Definitly. But, I recommend the right help. And if something is off, or doesn't feel comfortable to the patient, they need to look else-where. Good help is out there, it's just a matter of where. I have GREAT doctors/therapists. It just took 2 years of searching.

there IS no support out there. they are all incompetent. they don't realize the extreme anti-therapeutic effect of even just the label of the disease. I don't recommend for anybody to seek help from psychiatry, it could ruin their life.

Yes, I'm still taking it. No problems with prolactin.

I think Trilafon may of been my 1st anti-psychotic I tried (the generic name started with P). Glad to hear it it is working for you.
