Question would it be extreme if i added 32 gb ram to this or should i just stick to upgrading to 16 gb also could i do 2-4 tb of hard drive and whats the highest i can add ssd wise ?

Hey man I don’t know how active you are now a days However you should get a better cpu cooler if it’s working fine for you don’t change it Looks like that case got AIO support too but I think tower cooler will work best there are inexpensive ones out there I use the Vetroo v5 cpu cooler it was about 30 bucks if I remember correctly and it performs very well on my 10400f

Hello My device's RAM is 16GB, one piece I bought another piece a while ago, also 16GB But when I put them together, the device doesn't work and makes a distinctive sound When I use one of them, the device works, is the problem with the port?

Mine came with a Ryzen 5 5600. I'm about to just reuse it for another build. You're very limited to what you can upgrade with that tg01. No psu over 500w am4 socket board. Case is very small and can't swap it to another one without switching the motherboard. But it was an ok PC for older games I guess? I had a 3070 in mine " barely". But now have a 4070 super.. so I have to rebuild.

I think it could work temporarily? in the case where you are slowly upgrading but money's tight. getting a bigger motherboard and better processor later on, and cooling etc.

Cool build and all, but this is still not a "case swap". lol It is a build with harvested and new parts. Title it correctly. Pavilion is not really designed to be upgraded/swapped, and the upgrades you CAN perform typically only extend viability a couple to a few years due to increasing demands of newer technology and software. They also cost way more than just designing a custom rig off an internet shop. HP prebuilds like Pavilion Gaming CANNOT be swapped without a lot of heavy modification to a new case and or purchase of adapters. The main issues are the HP board is not ATX compatible, they are proprietary like the PSUs, which means they require the case HP designed to seat them without making contact. The second issue is the I/O ports are baked, rather than using pin connectors and harnesses. Between these 2 factors, you would have to purchase an oversized case, fab custom seats for everything to mimic HP Pavilion internals, and lastly use adapters and other tools to fab a custom I/O panel. Only then can you perform a true swap. That's not to say it can't be done. It just isn't worth it unless you happen to have a Pavilion.. and the time. And all that extra stuff you shouldn't have to buy to do a proper swap. lol

Have been wanting to upgrade my exact same PC as yours for a while and have always been shot down by everyone saying that it wasn't possible. With your video now I can finally upgrade it! Came across this video just from looking for ways to upgrade the this PC this year, wish I found this video two years ago.

I can think of NOBODY who would want to spend money doing this. I don't know of any of their machines in this class that don't have a locked CPU, and to go to this much trouble to fit non-standard parts into an ATX case, is only good for practicing PC building. The end result is no faster and only asthetic.

I can find the thick sata cable but im not sure i can find the other one. I tried a cable that has a sort of L shape at the end, but it doesnt work. Any idea to what could be the problem?

The only parts you need ...... is EVERYTHING! Except the locked CPU, a used NVME SSD and your old GPU ;) You will really luck out if the old ram is compatible with the new motherboard.

To be clear - this isn't even remotely by any stretch of the imagination a "case swap" when your changing out the motherboard. It's now no longer an HP. All you did was harvest your NVMe M.2 drive & CPU, and they aren't even HP (AMD & Nvidia) for a completely new build. A more appropriate title would be "Harvesting the CPU & Graphics card from an HP Pavillion TG01 to create a completely new and NOT HP computer". Hard to believe no one pointed this out. I'd be impressed if you actually did some research, found adapters to use the front I/O ports and actually swapped the HP motherboard into a new case like your RUclips video title suggests. It can be done, I've done it with An older DELL.

This is barely a case swap. He just took out the cpu and nvme and installed them into a new case.

I have this system and the GPU crashes sporadically, so I think the card is bad(I've done all the testing, and dealt with both HP and NVidia tech support over the past month)HP wants to charge me $325 to replace the card but I would rather upgrade if I can at that price. My main concern is using the 3060 upgrade as a replacement but will it run properly just on 500W or does that have to be updated to 750W? Thanks!

I need Help. My HP Omen 30L - GT13 - 1174 recently stopped turning on and I highly suspect is the PSU that needs replacement. I checked the model of the PSU and its a cooler master and it has the following information: Hp Post, No. L8409 - 001 Now when I check on the specific model no specific search appears on Google so I can't get my hands on that specific model. That said since I am not familiar with the gaming PC repair and replacement process I just want to know What other model can be compatible with this specific machine? Atleast one that is 550w or higher but that can be compatible with that specific model of HP Omen 30L. For whoever that wants to help me with giving me a model thanks in advance 💜❤️.
