    Ordered one instead of an Orion to save a few dollars and... should have went with Orion. It's impossible to get the panels perfectly lined up so not all the bolts holding them together go through, which is fine, it's still sealed up nicely but the real issue? The archery windows are WAY TOO LOW. Even sitting down, I could take a shot at something 5' away which is completely unnecessary. You cannot shoot anything further than 15 yards away while standing because you'd hit the top of the opening and the windows aren't tinted so, no matter where you sit inside, that big, low window is giving deer full view of a majority of your body/movement. As a bonus, one of the wooden floor panels appeared to have previous water damage and was warped so now if I walk on that one it rocks back and forth, making noise. It isn't a bad blind... and if it weren't for the bow window position issue, I'd be happy with it(floor is an easy fix and appears to be settling in over time somewhat, bolt holes can be drilled out so the bolts fit).. but that archery window position issue is...significant. Why buy such a big blind if I cannot shoot standing up at all??? The tower is 10' off the ground, not 100....who designed that?

      Either option is acceptable. All fabric has a life expectancy when constantly exposed to the elements but you can remove and reinstall the fabric annually if you want to drastically extend fabric life, or you can purchase the optional weather shield for $200 and put it over the blind during the off season.

    No way this thing is worth $2000. You better have a lot of patience to build this contraption. Just spend the money and purchase an Orion modular blind. Will last forever and fully insulated and water tight.

    • @jerrodlile3962
      @jerrodlile3962 Год назад

      There is certainly work required for initial setup but there is a lot of difference between $2,000 and $5,000+ dollars. Both blinds are good values at their respective price points.

    • @towely
      @towely 6 месяцев назад

      You can buy these delivered to your front door for 1699+tax. The comparable size/design Orion would be 5,300 + tax + 300 shipping. That's a HUGE difference. Plus, if you're looking for something you could upgrade down the road, the platform is fully compatible with their new modular, hard shelled Daybreak blind (which also comes in about 1,000 cheaper than Orion). So to start with this, then upgrade to Daybreaks hard blind years later, would cost you approximately $600 - 900 more in the long run. It's not a bad option for people that are a little tight on funds now, but are planning on being able to afford an upgrade in the next 5 years or so.

    Does the vibration transfer to Mechanical broadheads and possibly making your bow much louder is just a question before I commit to a hefty investment of a hundred eighty bucks

    • @jerrodlile3962
      @jerrodlile3962 6 лет назад

      Great question! I'd say it depends on your choice of mechanical broadheads. If the blades are held relatively tight by the blade retention system, then, no, it is no louder than any quiver on the market. If the blades rattle to start with (for example, if you bang your arrow on your hand and listen to the blades), then, yes, they can certainly make some noise. However, the Quivalizer actually dampens more noise than a standard stabilizer because the arrows and the stabilizer tube are all acting to reduce vibration and noise at the shot. All of your arrows are held in place with rubber dampening material in the quiver hood and in the arrow gripper in the rear, making them suspended in rubber. therefore, when the shot goes off, they act to absorb shock and vibration. All things being equal, the Quivalizer has always been quieter than any other quiver I've shot.

    • @greylighthunting
      @greylighthunting 7 лет назад

      Thanks for your comment David. The carry bag should more than meet your expectations. Regarding air-tight concerns, I'd just say we built the blinds to be completely void of any risk of light sneaking in as our top priority. We know that if we eliminate all light from sneaking in, that we will also reduce the scent footprint drastically as well.

  • @preyingmathis2517

    My big gripe is the cost of the replacement modules. Lets say you shoot out all 7 modules front and back and then you order 7 replacement modules at $50 a piece plus shipping. Thats $350 for 7 modules plus shipping! The target itself new is $295 plus $25 shipping which is $320 and cheaper than replacing all the modules. To me thats ridiculous. Not to mention the cost of the diamond modules which you shouldn't need but add 6 of those at $34.95 and 7 hex modules and now its $559 lol The Modules shouldn't cost more than $25 a piece period. $25 for the hex modules and $25 for the diamond modules which would basically add up to the $320 cost of the new target shipped. When the cost of the modules comes down to reality I will buy one of these targets because it is revolutionary provided that the foam is equal to rinehart foam.

    • @greylighthunting
      @greylighthunting 7 лет назад

      You certainly have some good points here. However, I've chosen to look at the target as an investment over time. Even with heavy shooting with broadheads you should only have to replace one module per year (the center one). At $50/year, it is much cheaper than the $100+ targets I used to ruin every year because the center was shot out. And the foam is very "Rinehart-like" in terms of easy to pull arrows. Hope you have a great fall season!

    • @preyingmathis2517
      @preyingmathis2517 7 лет назад

      XENEK I understand that but still over time it's a rip-off because by the time you buy 7 modules you could have just bought another target. My Rinehart 18-1 at the rate I shoot it will last me 4 years at $80... That's alot cheaper. And I just feel that I would shoot out at least 2 modules front and back per year and I feel like paying twice as much for the replacement modules as they originally cost is a huge rip off... I think that that target looks amazing and I would really like to get one but I feel like they are really being greedy with their maintenance costs of ownership. By the time a man pays to replace all the hex mods and all the diamond mods you could have bought 2 new complete units.

    • @greylighthunting
      @greylighthunting 7 лет назад

      The math definitely has to make sense to make this purchase and the 18 in 1 is a great target too.

    • @preyingmathis2517
      @preyingmathis2517 7 лет назад

      XENEK Don't get me wrong lol from what I've seen of the matrix I think it is truly the best backyard target out there. I just can't get over the companies math on the pricing of replacement parts... Heck I would pay $30 for a module but $50 is just insane. Not to mention they are a new company and what happens if I get one today and a year from now go to order a module or 2 and they are out of business?.... probably because of the overpriced replacement parts lol It is a great review of what appears to be a truly revolutionary product.

    • @bull5919
      @bull5919 5 лет назад

      @Boxing 101 your making zero sense as well, and he doesn't have to buy a new target every year as well especially rhinehart brute.... you would not have buy nothing with the rhinehart brute in a year as well you could wait i still think its way to much money for that target period...but i have seen your post and it seems your def invested in this target due to your comments on other videos that have this target..
