Thanks for the vid. I have both lenses. The Sigma is a versatile mainstay, while the Helios is a "mood" lens for particular kinds of atmospheric shots. It's not a general purpose lens, imo. The colours and sharpness are not really clean enough. Pro-ish TIP: don't go too cheap with variable NDs, folks. You could end up compromising your image due to a loss of sharpness, colour shifts etc. This will turn your films into mush that's particularly noticeable if you need to zoom/reframe a shot. They might be ok to learn with at first, but if you're even half serious about filming then you'd probably need to spend around £100 and upward for a decent VND. There's no need to break the bank - shop wise, BUT the old saying "The poor man pays twice" is particularly relevant to film gear. I bought sooo much cheap junk when I started. Useful to learn with, but it's all in landfill by now! Luck to all. 👍

what implied homosexuality, I hate when modern scholars just paint homosexuality onto everything, if someone cries over the death of a friend they take it as proof of being a homosexual. Like the modern coomer is so mentally corrupted that they can't even grasp the fact that emotions and love can be pure and not seeking sexual gratification. It is a concept entirely foreign to them.

If you are looking for genuine auteurs, then you should be looking at the indie and exploitation sector. Those people who wrote, directed, produced, shot, cut and even funded their own films. Without help or interference. There aren't many, but Russ Meyer certainly springs to mind.

the Kodak Ektachrome looks great on this footage - I enjoyed the way this was filmed and the colors near the beach. keep filming more! There is a difference between Auteurism and authorial intention that you are neglecting.

Wow really enjoyed this thoroughly. Thank you for sharing this. I will be implementing L and J cuts in my videos from now on. Its the simple things like this that make such a big difference but us newbies either forget we ever learned it or never know of its existence.
