The weather has really stopped me from going to the water, but hey, a little rain never killed anyone. 🎣 from what I can see and by enlarging views on the bail arm of your reel, it looks like it needs regular cleaning, ... I guess the line roller bearing too, ... Check to see if it revolves freely, ... Very important to keep those outside parts clean, 🙂 I bought a used grinder reel from a buyer's/seller's shop without checking the roller bearing, it was so badly damaged, I gave reel to a friend, for spare parts. (I will never make that mistake again.) 🙂 🎣
🎣 I was wondering how the box was attached to the H frame. I see that it is with rivets, (and in your following videos,) not with bolts/nuts, 🎣
Hi Johan. When I have small prawns like you had. I first tie them together so that they look like one big one and then I put it on the hook. Try it next time.

The dambas/galjoens You catching always look so "absolutely beautiful"...🤔...way back in the day, I started rock & surf fishing with red/rock bait... mainly caught dambas... the odd blue fish... graduated to shingleworm then sand prawn... You can also by catch shad/elf and kob with sand prawn...an amazing all round bait!!! Tight lines over there in ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Betty's Bay...🎣🎣🎣

Best way to catch a large steenbras!? Put on a small 1/0 hook, loaded with very rotten red-bait. Try for galjoen - and all to often you wil get a surprise. Two weeks ago - 75 cm & 62 cm. Kind regards.
Fish can and will be caught on most types of rigs and "funny little knots" - just need to have that line in the water. Nice vid

I am a bit late still catching up with your videos but man that was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFULL
🎣 To keep the loose "tag" end of any line on any holding spools from unwinding; including your sinker rope cord; drill three small holes near the side of spool, about 1cm apart. Push tag end from inside, out thru one or other side hole, in thru middle hole and out thru other hole. The line won't unravel off the spool. On my line spools I drilled two sets of three holes on opposite sides, for my convenience. I put photo of a Maxima line spool showing this on your fb page. I have done same on my old Alvey centre pin side cast reels. 🎣
