    Gratitude to Uday Bhawalkar for sharing this bliss. The great artist, still candid yet expert in channeling his voice from down to up in a soft and powerful mode that returns everything and everyone to God's bliss. From France 1000 Suns and 1000 Moons to such a Drupad Master.

    Just see and listen the VOCAL application only with TANPURA support, a very long time like INSTRUMENTAL AALAP JOR JHAALAA. THE CHARACTERISTIC FEATURE OF DHRUPOD MUSIC. VERY TOUGH INDEED.

    The tune of HEAVEN. ANCIENT NORTH INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC of MIAN TANSEN GHARANA who is a LEGEND and PIONEER now and inspiration also of OUR HINDUSTANI MARGO SANGEET, WORLDWIDE as a meditational tune just like a magical touch of tune. Listened this WORLD LEGENDARY VOCAL ARTIST, the same RAGA, same aspect at SRA, KOLKATA, midnight episode with a great patient like the equal patient of this ARTIST.

    Marwa = 'Death', or 'Mara,' The meditation mode is ancient, and from the buddhist period of Dhrupad/North Indian Baroque. It is the buddha in discourse with Mara. Interesting lyricism on entering kharraj that departs from the objective taan, becoming narrative due to the vibrato. Refining it from that vantage... Loving the caveat of Puriya and Bhairav on the heavy draw at the beginning. Could be Durga at the 9 minute mark. Mind the flowers, beloved.

    J#N#P# aka Jashwant Narsidas Ponda###Eh! What does one hear here? A fugue, a calmative threnody? A "Valhalla Exchange" truth? A life restoring "Sanjvni"? A Dagar Brothets elongated holy chant? Or a "Shavason" -like divine silence wrapped in a divine silence. It's a standard remedy for hurry sickness? Verily it is a Rasayana of all these things put together!

    In Gandharva vidyalya the form of dhrupad is strict in some examinations but they don't allow such rendition due to lack of time moreover they focus on rhythmic combination ekpat duppat .😒 How those students will come to know the dhrupad shaili is this one not that typical.

  • @rupeshshindeofficial7180

    Such a tragedy we call raag daari sangit is more pure form of particular Raaga but it comes with more purity when sung in dhrupad form as it revolves around the microtones. (Shrutis)

    can you please provide the aroh avaroh of this raag?

    • @forestswaras
      @forestswaras 3 года назад

      Aaroh avaroh gives very little info about the raag. However, just for your info, this raag belongs to Kalyan thaat, does not have re-dha in the aaroh, and the avaroh has all seven swaras (S G M# P N S" - S" N D P M# G R S). It is close to Marubihag, but uses only teevra ma (M#), unlike Marubihag which uses shuddh ma in addition in some phrases. Also, the phrase PDPS" is found in Maru but not in Marubihag.

      Just to add to that; Jaipur gharānā seems to have its own version of Maru Bihag. Mallikarjun Mansur, Kishori Amonkar and Ashwini Bhide's renditions would be instructive in this regard.
