This might be a little odd but I used to be obessed with RENT back in high school and this song is particular. I found this cover about five years ago my sophmore year of college. I'm now 21 and I thought of this cover in partcular after watching Tick, Tick... Boom. I really hope this kids have been able to doing something in the theater or music in general.

She has a very pretty voice and is always in tune. The costume isn’t bad either. The tempo just feels a notch slow and the whole thing lacks energy. The dancing is awkward. Seems a little too “PG” for Rent. Overall she did a good job with what she was given.

all of you in the comments talking about how they shouldn't have cast a white girl need to shut up okay. Yes, the show has it as a general rule but this is a high school performance. And after reading some more comments they said that they live in an area where POC arent very common as do I. Just because of that does not mean that they should not be allowed to do a show that they all love. This could be many of their only chances to play their dream roles so please just shut your god damn mouths and stop trying to be social justice warriors. P.S. i think she nailed it for someone so young, its a really difficult song to do, good job girl!!!

This is horrible. Forget the singing because it's really hard to sing this in general but the choreography looks incredibly stiff add the singing to it and it's worse
