The killer being one of the Lows is an interesting thought, but the infinity killer's entire gimmick is being obsessed with the number 8. Meanwhile, there is no connection between Eddie Low and numbers. Additionally, joggers make up only a part of Low's targets, so that seems coincidental as well. It's not impossible there's a connection, but it seems the only thing the two cases share is a serial killer and people with a common last name

I waited for this game for years and I finally got it in 8th grade. I remember being let down by the cuteness of it and the clunky controls, but it still holds a special place in my nostalgia haha. I still fire it up every now and then. You guys should do a run with mods!

Spore beta was a masterpiece and even after it got screwed over by ea, maxis still made one of the best games ever

Spore is the very definition of "missed potential". So many parts of the game could have been better. If they ever remake it or make a Spore 2, it's going to be a great game just by adding all the things that were missing in Spore.

The Tribal parts in Tribal stage DO ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. They can: increasing your fruit gathering speed, attack, socialization speed and health (gathering, combat, social and health stats). There are also purely decorative parts in the Symbol and Detail tab. The speed stat cannot be increased in the tribal editor, it has to be maxed out in the creature stage editor. And other abilities have to be added too in before moving to tribal stage to be able to use them, like flight and the combat skills and even stealth is used when a tribe member is stealing food from another tribe. So it does matter somewhat what stats your creature has in tribal stage. It's irrelevant in civ stage of course, but can be important in space stage again if you want to play adventures.

I think a potential flaw in Spore's design was that it was trying to be two things at once. When you look at the trailer videos, it seems like you're going on a grand scale adventure of evolution and civilisation. So you'd expect game mechanics from something more akin to the Civilization game series when you're in the later stages. But the later stages lack any real depth to stand as its own grand strategy game. Then the early game doesn't have enough evolutionary depth. I think spore tried to be an evolution and civilisation game at the same time. But maybe given the deadline, budget, technology at the time, this simply wasn't possible. I think spore very much falls under the, wide as a lake, deep as a puddle scenario unfortunately. I wish they'd try again though, as the core concept is amazing.

I think they are obsessed with infinity cuz they are able to life infinitly. eddie low is likely killed twice within what we play througu he's trying to get rid of 8 people cuz he thinks turning infinity around will finally let him die. considering no one's noticed, "hey why is he standing back up?", he likely rots jn graves often...

11:46 ok no this is just a flat out lie. weapons with strike have separate animations based on where you have parts with strike on them. sure it doesnt effect how much damage you do but the question posed was whether or not "creatures dynamically attack based on where their weapons are" obviously it's not a world ending issue but it's still something that shouldve been checked instead of just assumed

Your connections to RDR are almost entirely wrong. "I don't understand imnifity" is a cheat code for infinite deadeye. And the Blackwater Athletics team was killed by the Skinner Brothers, a gang of murderers inhabiting Tall Trees where the mass grave is. Edmund Lowry couldn't have killed the team on his own, first of all, and it also would have been near impossible for him to do it in 1899 as Tall Trees was being heavily patrolled by Pinkertons.

rdr and gta are not in the same universe rdr is nothing but a story told in the gta universe just like manhunt is a video game in the gta sa and the murals are all there cause those are the ones the community solved this is nothing but an easter egg

I absolutely adored Spore when I was young. Even as an adult, I still kind of do, and replay it every now and again. Despite the fact the game is notably flawed, I still find myself thoroughly enjoying returning to it every now and again. That's most likely nostalgia, but the game's creative elements are phenomenal, and the space stage is unlike anything ever created before, IMO. Spore has inspired my imagination moreso than any other game before or since. I now hold an advanced degree in molecular biology, and whilst Spore didn't ignite my interest in the natural sciences, it certainly strengthened it, even if the game itself is only focused on evolution in its most vague, abstracted form. Simply playing with the creature creator would encourage me to entertain alien biologies (e.g. species with fauna and flora-like characteristics, denitrifying metazoans, etc) that I'd use to create bizarre monstrosities. It's probably why I went into synthetic biology and biotech instead of natural biology; creating and modifying life is quite satifying. Spore's very unerrated, and though it was understandably considered a disappointment, I still think it's something special, if not perfect.

If you look at the Doomsday mural with the infinity number the dots look like braille (although the middle one is one dot too low) it would roughly translate to “DOUQDH” no clue what it means but idk maybe someone else can decipher it.

I was hyped for Spore before it released. I watched that 2005 video and got excited. I watched the Robin Williams demo and got even more excited. Then the game came out with awful DRM, missing several promised features, and being overall extremely shallow. It's been weird to watch Zoomers adopt this game without knowing it's development.
