Beautiful country up there, your video production is getting even better. You can blame the ‘Useless loop’ name on you Frenchies. 😊 From wiki… The first half of Useless Loop's unusual name was bestowed upon it by French explorer Henri-Louis de Saulces de Freycinet, brother of the more famous Louis de Freycinet, during the Baudin expedition to Australia. Henri-Louis dubbed the area Havre Inutile (lit. 'useless haven'), because he believed the inviting harbour to be entirely blocked by a sandbar.

Great Vid.. One Day....

Thats a shame you couldnt manage some of the gorge hikes but better to stop when you reach your limits. Sadly many people underestimate how challenging these hikes are and possibly overestimate their ability and come unstuck. There have been many deaths and serious injuries here. We took our teenagers to Karijini 2 years ago and everyone did all the hikes (July) - no ladders into Joffre then and our highlights were Kermits Pool, Handrail Pool and to get my special photo of Spa Pool at Hammersley Gorge 👌Our previous had been 20 years earlier - its changed a lot but still has that remote, exciting challenge.
