13 Minutes of Dragon Age Characters Doing the 'Bioware Turn'
The sequel
Bioware has a bunch of animations they reuse across all their games but this particular turn to exit frame has always amused me whenever I spot it so I made this video just for fun. Someday I might add Origins but I replayed that one before I thought to clip them.
Interestingly whereas Mass Effect saw this animation increase in use as the series progressed, Dragon Age seems to experience the opposite (at least between 2 and Inquisition) as well as blending it into other animations more frequently. Still very clockable though.

During my playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy I made a habit of recording every instance I spotted of this specific turn animation Bioware has reused for years across multiple games and series to have a character exit frame. There are many animations they commonly reuse but for some reason this particular one makes me smile whenever I encounter it so I just made this video for my own amuseme...

BioWareTurn.mov file gets a lot of use.
Once you notice it, you can never unsee it.
should had been in veilguard, now it is a bad game.. they had one job.
they replaced it with bioware hands on hips (i swear my rook does this almost every time i choose anything in the dialogue wheel)

They're all just exiting the stage at the end of their scene

Thanks so much for this! I can't imagine how many hours it took you to make this short video. When I made a five minute video of a game that I like, those were recordings that I had taken over the years and it took about 20 hours to put it all together.

My favorite Bioware lazy thing they do is when characters have to pass items to each other so the camera conveniently zooms on the upper half of the body hiding their hands.
if you ever tried to do a drinking game spotting this animation, you'd be in the hospital within minutes.
I love that never in my life have I even thought about this. But as soon as I read the title, I knew exactly what animation it was going to be 😂
