I bet you the last time anyone has ever seen 3 or more Dodge Aries/Plymouth Reliants together were in Chrysler dealerships back in 1989 during the last year model.

What alot of people don't cover as well is there is a way to turn OFF the voice alert system if you were one of those customers that absolutely hated it. I can't remember the procedure but it was fairly simple protocol that although was recommended by the dealer to perform, could be done by a customer. I believe that override was only availble in the later years as it took about 1 to 2 years of customer complaints to reach corporate for them to invest in the shut off.

What Chrysler model is that?

Drove an 88 reliant 5 speed 2.2 from 80k to 250k miles in Illinois through everything Mother Nature could throw at it. Went through snow like a rabbit then sold it to my neighbor for $300 and he drove it for another 5 yrs engine was bulletproof!!!

This to me is way better than modern digital. I drove a Pacifica sometime back that went nuts when I got close to a car in front of me.

This explains a lot about the example of this car my brother had. Apparently this weird door switch combo is enough to still make it say your headlights are on despite the switch for disabling the voice having been set to disable

I have always had a VERY special place in my heart for the K-car. Sure, it was NEVER exactly the most beautiful vehicle in the world, but without this car, Chrysler as we know it would most certainly not exist today. Plus, the chassis of this humble little economy car was the basis for almost all of Chrysler's new cars in the 1980's. It spawned sedans, coupes, wagons, sports coupes, luxury cars, convertibles, even limousines. It was also the basis for the first minivan.

Now, why in HELL would I want to do that? 😐🫤 I got no reaction at all from the video.
