Could you give some references to the videos you saw to get these 2 games running on your steam deck whether it is the button layout or where to find the roms or overall the guides you used.
Personally I like the original versions of wind waker and twilight princess better no offense to the people that do like the remasters/remake
PC + Deck is still objectively better than PS5 + Deck for game streaming. There's no need to double dip on game purchases for when you want to play one game natively on the other. You buy the game once and play across any Steam-enabled gaming PC device you have. You can natively continue your game saves, via Steam's cloud save, across PC and Deck. If you double dip for PS5, you've got to start over again. Want a console like experience on your PC? You can stream the upstairs PC to the Deck and use your PC like a living room console. Then enjoy the benefits of PC gaming, like free online and mods, etc. On the flip side, PS5 is good if you're on a tight budget. But the long term of double dipping, etc, is where you're not actually saving money. Also just thought I'd mention, Steam Link streaming is now working great and I actually prefer it over Moonlight because of: 1. It's quicker and feels like a seamless and almost native experience: you literally change the "Play" button to "Stream" in the Steam game page UI and the game streams in a way that almost feels native. There's none of that friction you get from Moonlight or Chiaki. And yes, you can create shortcuts in Moonlight, but it requires going into Sunshine's control panel and finding the actual file path to the executable, etc; it's a hassle once you have a big game library on PC, that you end up just streaming the desktop instead. 2. Your individual customised control scheme carries over to the streamed Steam game. With Chiaki or Moonlight, you have a universal control scheme. So if you like to customise controls, per game, you don't have that same luxury with Chiaki or Moonlight; you could create lots of Action Sets, but again, that's a huge hassle. I've been playing Watch_Dogs 1 across both my PC and Deck; on Deck In playing it completely vanilla, but on PC, it's fully modded out with the first person mod. The first person mod is also just for immersion sake and isn't very practical to play it that way. However, the ability to quickly jump between a vanilla version of a game on Deck and a fully modded version on PC, all while cloud saves are working between both, is something you simply cannot do via PS5 streaming.
gaming PC and Steam Deck for me. I have a PS4 I got about 3 years ago and barely play.
Also a great combo!
More 16:9 monitors in 2024....gross. 21:9 minimum
16:9 is the best standard for me I have to say!

Keep the great feedback coming in the future!

I tried Wind Waker HD on the Steam Deck, and while it played okay, it has some frame skip issues. But that was a year ago so CEMU might have released several updates since then. I recently played it again on the Rog Ally, and this time I played it all the way through without a single issue. I was even playing it on the lowest Rog Ally power settings and not one single hiccup occured. Just flawless. We live in such an amazing time that we can relive our childhoods playing these awesome games on handheld gaming consoles/PCs.
When I was playing a different game with cemu I had to manually set clock speed to 1600 for no slowdown. Sometimes steam deck doesn’t auto scale the performance for 3d emulation.
i played it all the way through in 1080p on my lcd steam deck and it never had any frame drops whatsoever. it looked amazing and i got 4 hours of playtime. steam deck is just so much better in every way possible.
@@psytama1 Steam Deck is an amazing console, yes it is. But to say it's much better in every way, is an erroneous statement. Because on the graphics aspects, Steam Deck doesn't have a leg in the game compared to the current handheld PCs. Steam Deck is hella tweaked and well rounded. Great battery, great OS, great Deck UI, but when it comes to graphics, it's not the "best." In fact, you have to tinker a lot with it to get it to install anything else outside of Steam, and even then, it might or might not work. It can be done, because I've done it myself. But Ally and the LeGo, can play just about anything, and you don't need to find workarounds. You just have to pick what is right for you.
@@ALT-HEX everything else is much better and graphics doesn't matter. if your game is well optimized it will run on the deck. the controls on steam deck are superb. absolutely the best i've ever had on any system. i could talk much more about this topic, but it won't change your opinion. u like the rog ally and that's fine. what isn't fine is the bad customer support from asus. the sd card problem is still a big thing and they do nothing about it. i will never support such a bad company.
@psytama1 I like them both equally because they both have positive attributes. But I'm not going to sit here and blindly say something that simply is not true, like the Steam Deck is better in every way because it's not. But like you, I'm not here to change minds. Simply giving my input.
goated video
@@koke1440 thank you, but I can do much better ❤️
You seem like you'd be a nice gamer friend but i don't feel like you offer anything as far as content goes. At least from this one and only video i just watched.
Just to add my input, I've watched most of his videos, and think he's nailing it and has great content for what I'm looking for. Not every video is going to be a home run... But I can say from experience, finding your voice in front of the camera is very difficult and a never ending uphill trek. Either way, I think it's worth checking out other videos of his...
@BrianCatalano I understand. I don't think he was terrible, just trying to give some constructive criticism. There's a new youtuber established every second and it's tough to compete. I would suggest maybe rehearsing more and writing more engaging topics. This video was something I've seen as a side note to many videos that cover emulation in general, but this was his whole topic and offered nothing unique on it. I see this is a small, but growing channel and dude seems chill; i just wanted to leave my feedback so he can maybe grow faster. I'm glad you enjoyed it as is but if he wants to go from a few hundred subs to thousands he needs to create more entertaining videos. Unless he actually wants a modest community, i think my point is valid. If that's all he wants then i can respect that. I'll check some more of his channel out to see if this was a one off, but the fact this is a recent one I'm expecting I'll find the others bland as well. Wish him the best!
@@nthnglsn that's completely fair...and I appreciate you giving that critique as it is something I bet he can learn from and in general, it's always good to hear positive, constructive feedback in the comments section.
@@nthnglsn I actually REALLY appreciate your comment. I want to up my video quality significantly. I really enjoy making videos but I do that besides having my real job. Still, I published 15 videos in the last month, gained 70k views, 368 subs and 4k watch time. I wonder what’s possible when I put more work into the content and maybe publish ony one video a week. You comment really helped me realising that!
@BrianCatalano And thank you as well for having my back!
nice work!
Thank you!!
As a new Dad years ago, despite my new PS4 sitting there, my 3DS, Vita, and Wii U got most of my playtime. The Wii U was just amazing, many forget because it was such a failure, but we have the Steam Deck and Switch because of the Wii U. I hated it when a game wouldn't let you play on just the Gamepad. Man, forget emulation, I think I'm going to load up Wind Waker HD tonight and kick back on the Gamepad. Also had NFS Most Wanted on it, got my weekend laid out lol.
Most Wanted is the one game that I added to the Steam Deck today :D
Great stuff mam! Tfs
Thank you!
That's my exact combo!
Are you liking it??
@wilbyYT I love it! Admittedly I play my Steam Deck more but of late I've been spending time on my PS5 playing Bloodbourne and DSIII. At some point I'll also be picking up NCAA 25 as well.
The Series X and Lenovo Legion Go is my perfect combo.I can play ps5,switch,steam,xbox,plus emulation
Great combo!
another great video cheers
Thank you, my friend!
hello. Legitimate question. The chiaki4deck….is that software? Does it potentially run the risk of my PSN logins being stolen when you sign? Like is it a separate company that, if hacked, would end up putting my account info in the wrong hands? No idea how it works but that’s why i haven’t done it. I don’t want to risk my digital collection. (The PSN outage in the ps3 era still haunts me lol.
I've bought the Mass Effect legendary edition on this steam summer sale, and I will try to make it work on steam deck (it has aparently the EA player launcher) hope I can make it work
It works, you just have to login every time you start the game.. that sucks. That’s why I keep the game running once I booted it up.
Actually been a cracking sale. I picked up Ghost recon Breakpoint gold£14.99 Watchdogs 2 gold £ 6.99 Far cry 5 £4.99 Forza horizon 4 Ultimate £15 great games i want to replay and cheap at around 40 for the lot
Great game choices!
Asus ROG G14 and steam deck oled are soul mates
ive just got my steam deck .... and the possablities are endless right now
It’s a magical machine :)
Art of Rally👌🏽 thank me later
Gotta check it out. I think I have it on my Epic store!
Witcher 3 is probably my favourite game of all time! Blown away, it's only 2.99!
Yeah but not worth it without the DLC
2.99 for the base game is insane!
I can recommend deponia the complete journey. 4 classic really good story games for 2.99€
Thanks for the recommendation! Little funfact: I almost did an internship at Daedalic 10 years ago :)
Ive bought the batman arkham triology for 8 dollars with all dlcs. I already played them over 22 times on ps3 and 4 but now i can use mods
Man, I love the Batman games. So many great memories!
Hey man! How long have you been doing RUclips!
Hey! Just under a month now!
I love Halo 1 & 2 on Steam Deck. I am going to buy all the other Halo games right after this comment lol. Man your channel is awesome you should have a lot more subscribers.
Yea, Halo is awesome :) Thank you very much ❤️
It doesn't do the same thing. With Chiaka on the Steam Deck, you have to be at home on the same network as your PS5 to play games. The PS Portal can play anywhere with any wifi connection. I've gotten great results even using my phones hotspot or using the wifi at Walmart.
Totally true! That’s one of the reasons why I wanna try out the Portal!
Actually with the newest update, you don't need to be at home anymore! It took away the port forwarding requirement from the user!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Great combo, I do it myself. Now this app I will be installing to hype up the steam deck more.
Have fun man! :)
Macbook air + steam deck oled Macbook for its portability, weight (no ac adapter) and sleep mode and it can play wow. Steam deck oled for pc games
WoW is also playable on the Deck I think! But it’s not as convenient as having mouse and keyboard for that I guess.
@@wilbyYT yeah i tried but the i didnt like the controller setup, esp the targeting system, not as convenient as point and click or tabbing. Wow does run smooth on steam deck though Macbook air also does the job perfectly, it can basically play high settings with some tweeks and stay around 60degrees even on a 10hr gaming session.
I have a ps2 ps3 ps5 xbox one for back compat and a deck and could not be happier. Had a switch too but the games are to expensive and i didnt like the performance
Great combination of devices! You do you :)
A very cool idea, but why not use the PS Remote app in desktop mode?
chiaki4deck is better
The PS remote app doesn’t have sound for some reason. At least that’s been my experience. And you can only use a PlayStation five controller synced to your handheld device.
@@Proklame Thank you, that’s very informative👍
Thank you for clearing that up @Proklame :)
I'm playing a lot of Wreckfest on my Deck. I've binned Emulation Station because I found it to be a bit buggy. I do more emulation on my phone.
Wreckfest is awesome! I played that years ago online with a friend!
This will solve my problem. I have no tv currently so this allows me to play my ps5 still. Thank you 🙏
Glad I could help!
@@wilbyYT Wow this has changed my world. Im stuck in bed for 6 months and this has saved me. I refunded $250 worth of games today now that i got my PS5 library back up through Chiaki4deck. I also have PS plus so I can play all those free games instead of buying them. They all have looked and played great with very little effort. Ps5 games look amazing on the oled
I have the portal. Don't worry, the portal is performing much worse than the steam deck. It's constant stuttering for me on the portal, but it works flawlessly on the steam deck.
its your wifi fault portal is de best sony consoles are the best
@@omgoat I can't tell if you are being serious or not
Same here, i have both portal and steamdeck oled. Steamdeck performs better and visually it looks better. Stuttering still an issue on the portal. And no stutterring on my steamdeck streaming my pa5 using chiaki4deck. I still keep my portal but im still hoping they fix the stuttering issue and visual improvements and if they can match chiaki4deck quality and peformance 🤞
exactly why i don't trust people who say the portal is worth it. No point in wasting your time and money when everything else does a better job
@@omgoat😂😂😂😂😂
I didn't have the chance to try this one, but I'd also recommend the Spigen Rugged Armor. At the same time, I'd say to stay away from the Spigen Thin Fit. I got this last one because of the stand, but everything else on it seems worse in comparison with the Rugged.
I actually have the Rugged Armor from Spigen. I like it overall! The two things I dislike are also the missing stand function and the cutouts for the shoulder buttons. They dont feel good for me.
@@wilbyYT got it, I believe you prefer the shoulder buttons naked. It's very personal. I'll try to get my hands on a Skull and Co to test it. Thank you.
Please do tekken 8 gameplay
Sorry, I dont have Tekken 8 :(
Hey. Just to clarify, you said one button push (keyboard and mouse), but you need to switch the channel on the mouse too, right? I have both here, and i expected to switch together but never worked.
Yes, it‘s one button push per device. I should have clarified that, sorry.
No worries at all. I asked because I read about some hacks to make one single button push using windows devices. But never on SD. Thanks for the great video.
Bro your new thumbnails are on point 👌
Thank you!
How do you get the emulated games in they own category in ya steam library?
I go into the desktop mode and open steam. There you can go in you library and create different folders.
Right now, I'm currently playing Dying Light 2, the only game I have installed. This method really helps me focus on one game without having the urge to switch to a different one constantly 😂
I heard about that tactic 🤣
13:04 what a view!
Was oled had gorilla class I feel yes because it's from samsung
It doesn’t!
@wilbyYT but how it's tye screen damage
@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 I actually dont know. I put on a screen protector right away! But I heard it‘s quite durable.
I wish I had the control that some of y'all have. My backlog is crazy!
All good, my friend. One game at a time :)
One correction: The screen protector works for both the LCD and OLED version of the deck!
Something I found perfect for my Deck is wireless earphones with 2.4Ghz dongle. I chose JBL Quantum TWS, though there are other options that may fit other users better (like the ones with USB type-C passthrough made for meta quest) Dongle reduces latency and annoyance of Bluetooth pairing for me, without sacrificing ease of use of wireless earphones
Thanks for your recommendation! Im sure that will help somebody out who’s on the fence of getting one of these earphones!
@@wilbyYT I hope so! This category of earphones is a niche a lot of people want but don't even know that they exist
WIll cases fit the Joyhood Steam Deck Bag? (Asking if you have any idea specifically for the dbrand killswitch?)
The Killswitch case has quite a similar shape! It should fit in my opinion! Maybe somebody here is reading this who has both and that person can reassure me. But Im 99% sure it fits!
underated channel cheers from Canada
Thank you so much ❤️
I love my OG deck! just bummed that we can’t play all games due to the anti cheat…that’s why I bought a PS5 🤦♂️
Yea, one of the rare Ls of the Steam Deck. Same here, I think the PS5 is the perfect console to got with the Deck!
IMO, for headphones, I get the cheaper gaming headsets. I have one that's a 3 in 1 (USB, Wired, BT). Also, gaming headsets have low latency which is great for gaming.
Good advice! Which one are you exactly using?
@@wilbyYT There are some cheap ones on Amazon that I think are actually good. And, if it breaks on you, it's less than $50. I'd leave a link but YT won't let me.
@@Kinos141can’t you just name them?
