Ceremony of Opposites was my very first Black Metal experience, I was 14 years old when I listened to SAMAEL for the very first time. Not many people had listened to Black Metal where I come from, so I dare say they were pretty much one of the precursors of the genre, people tend to forget that. I'm now 42 years old and still love the band. CROWN is my favorite song in this album, BTW.

O segundo melhor álbum deles pra mim (o primeiro é o Blood Ritual). Eu também já fui um idiota radical que batia o pé quando eles começaram a explorar as baterias eletrônicas, mas felizmente evoluí. Se te falta um baterista ou mesmo se teu baterista quer assumir outra função, não pare de tocar. Dizer que a banda é falsa por usar bateria programada é pura palhaçada! Bandas como Limbonic Art e Sarcófago também faziam isso desde os anos 90, e são bandas excelentes. Aí vem um bando de pau no cu que não faz porra nenhuma apontar o dedo. Montem uma banda, conquistem o que o Samael conquistou, depois a gente conversa.

The most powerful album in terms of energy, I loved it very much in my youth... In perspective, comparing, I think that Ceremony of Opposites is one of the strongest albums in the history of alternative music.

Gotta be careful though. They will run them selves to death. This is precisely what makes Boston's so love-able. Their enthusiasm for life is second to none, and it is inspiring and motivating to live with one. (or two, or three)
