I appreciate what it did for how it progressed the Zelda series. I had some fun playing it, but gave up just at ganon castle. Very very tedious, many enemies in rooms which constantly respawn was not “fun” just annoying 😅

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! What made me comment though: They reused the Buzz Blobs (aka ChuChus) in tons of Zelda games. Majora‘s Mask, Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom. They were quite common, actually.

Lol I always forget how horrendously under-levelled you are for fighting Red in Gen 2

So a tip for catching Lugia in the future the Heavy Ball made by Kurt is actually useful for Lugia, I always get good luck with it and Lugia being heavy actually works. I believe its one of the only balls that aren't glitched.

I'm not being mean, but I'm noticing some similarities with Chuggaaconroy. Is he an inspiration for this channel? If so, cool; he's one of my favorite RUclipsrs and it's cool that I found a RUclipsr like him

When it comes to Kanto I feel all of the issues it has come down to rushed development, it still feels very much in a beta stage. I like the idea of seeing what's changed after 3 years, since it's natural for a place to change after that period of time. But for me they don't capitalize on it very well. I honestly think Kanto should have been a second full on adventure, like reexploring Kanto after 3 years, even bring Giovanni back for a conclusion in Kanto, even though HGSS did this. This would even justify the Kanto only mons as you'd explore a while different adventure in game with them and If they were appropriately leveled, that would also help. But alas, it does suck that this part of the game feels very rushed.

While they are pathetically easy and Kanto really showcases a beta stage, the gym leader theme slaps hard, it is easily my favorite rendition of Kanto gym battle theme.

Tbh I actually find Sneasel to be good, don't get me wrong, while it is arguably the worst offender of moves being determined by the type, with what it gets to take advantage of its attack stat can make it work. In fact on a lot of Crystal playthrough, where I am building a team Sneasel has been one of my auto picks on many of them and is tbh probably the best user of Shadow Ball in the game if you don't use Flareon or Granbull. Because I am of the opinion that in these earlier Gens (1-3) Pokemon could be designed around using moves other than STAB, there are more things to consider when using a Pokemon than if it has STAB or not, in a lot of modern Pokemon design you just see mons designed around spamming STAB and not much else, like Chein Pao, which in many cases just make them linear in just a one trick pony kind of way. Especially when I was faced where my STAB wasn't effective or wouldn't be SE, having other moves would still work. There's a really great video by Jimothy Cool who does a good job at explaining it. Hell, there are Pokemon who run sets in early Gens where using STAB is simply an option they CAN do, like Gen 1 Starmie competitively, neither of its Stabs are auto-include options. But does that make it bad? Even Gengar, wouldn't get anything from Poison anyway since until Fairy existed wouldn't check anything noteworthy, and Shadow Ball for what it covers will die trying to get off SE hit. It can literally solo the game using any other option. The problem with the Dark typing for a couple of generations was that both it and Ghost covered the same thing offensively, so even though it wouldn't get STAB off Shadow Ball it still does more damage than say Feint Attack if it came off a higher Sp attack. If you swapped around Sneasel's Attack and Sp Attack, it would actually be worse since its only options for damage would be STAB Ice Beam, Ice Punch and Surf. Which for a movepool that is really shallow. Outside of Crunch, running Dark STAB doesn't really mean that much if it is just going to be a weaker option than anything else in your kit, and while it is a flaw, I don't think it makes Sneasel unusable, I think people fixate on STAB on these early Gens too much. It's Psychic immunity, 95 attack Shadow Ball + Return damage is really good. You actually do more damage than STAB Dark anyway if you factor in badge boosts. Sneasel can do okay with Ice Punch too, despite the poor typing.

I like it. This is another one of my favorite GameCube games. I watched most (but not all) of the Pikmin Let's Play, but there were too many casualties. And like most Pikmin videos online it was too ship-part focused, when the game is called Pikmin.
