I came into BG3 completely blind and having never played a DND campaign in my life I felt a little caught off guard by the mechanics and attention to detail. I especially found the turn-based "point and click" aspect kinda jarring all the way up to the first battle outside the Grove, coming from a console owner. Ended up getting a little flusted with my lack of "flow" and started a whole new game. I'm now 40+ hours in and completely hooked. Haven't had this much fun playing a game in ages!

Then again, there were also a lot of double entendres in the middle, so they're not making it scary. Trust me, as a diabetic, the little drops still hurt like a fathermucker if you hit a nerve. Shadowbabe doesn't have Proficiency with swords and Heavy Crossbows (doesn't know how to use them properly). Her chances of hitting with them are low. Your new robe is useless to you. It is better to give it to Charlch. On the map with Druid's Grove, there are still many unexplored locations, quests, and encounters you can possibly do. They will fit better the level of your party. And general advice, when you send your group somewhere to run, it is better to follow them and not fly the camera chaotically all over the map. They can get ambushed, step into a trap, and miss important places and NPCs. When you are looking for something, zoom out and carefully examine the area around you and only then start increasing the viewing radius. You often bring the camera very close to the ground and because of this, you do not notice things that are literally a meter away from you. Sorry for being boring, but maybe this will save you some time, by not missing important stuff and reloading.

We made a camp for a long rest, and at some point Healer failed a check to notice something, after that DM made several D20 rolls and went "Ooookay, continue..." like nothing happened. At the next morning we found Healers head being chewed on by an Intellect devourer, while we stared at it, two drow scout managed to manhandle our ranger (instant knocked-down) and mage (surprisingly left with 3 hp) with garrotes and only THEN I (last-one standing basically) rolled an initiative with a face like . That place sucked, and it sucked hard xDDDDDDDDDDDDD

The sovereign of this area is up on the rocks by the fast travel point. Look for the diamond marker on your map.

Really strong characters can jump really far, so Karlach can get into melee range by jumping if she can't reach by walking. Jumping only uses a bonus action, so jump in and smack some bitches. If you cast sanctuary on someone and they attack immediately afterwords it breaks the spell, so Shadowheart is basically just wasting spell slots casting it. Also: Try not to get too close to exploding mushrooms LOL

OMG the dice were hating on you today. You can pick up all of the chests and send them to camp to be opened later. The underdark will take you a while, the ancient forge will probably take three episodes by itself. I would guess five episodes in total. Shadowheart isn't proficient with swords, she uses blunt weapons. Give the Phalar Aluve to Lae'zel or Karlach and don't forget to activate the song every day. There's a mace in the creche for Shart that she can use until act three. You can drag the extra cantrips off of your hotbar to erase them.

The choral music that started playing in the big fight this episode reminded me a lot of The Bridge of Khazad Dum from Lord of the Rings. (It starts at 3 minutes if you look up the track on RUclips.)

28:37 Before doing a long rest you should always do the short rests. You have two of them, they recharge with the long rest anyway, and you get half health back to all characters every time you do one. You also recharge various resources, like the druid's wildshape and the warlock's spell slots.

The MUCH more important part is the enchantment, which is added to the hit bonus too. Going from +6 to hit to +7 is much more important than small variations of damage, because being able to hit more often is better than hitting a bit harder, but less often.

I agree with you about the Fallout vibes. Have only played Fallout: New Vegas so far, but am starting a playthrough of 4, slowly but surely.
