Hi Suzy. I am enjoying your Becoming You Podcast very much. I was also born in Portland years ago and transplanted in NY back in the late 80's. You posed a few questions that I frankly have not asked myself in any real way. I am a graphic designer by trade and enjoy my work very much. I was however laid off from a prominent beauty industry employer a few years ago, but with severance and such. Although it still hits you in the gut, can you talk about the difference in being laid off as opposed to being fired? If there is any.

Otherwise I suffer with body dysmorphia thinking I'm the plus size, and, while I kinda want to be as petite as I once was to reflect how I feel in the world, . Okay, the times that are hard are when there is massive expectation from somebody to look at me and see what they want to see. For instance somebody who loves a specific breed of horse and thinks I resemble the breed they've been searching for, for a lifetime..... Or my bio mom, looking at me as a personal piece of property, thinking she is me. And then, furthermore, Well, I don't want to talk about this right now. The worst was how docile I made myself, and gentle, I'm a lamb but then if people know I'm a lamb theyll know I'm a lamb, I love my lamb, and I used to feel guilty about the lion, Until I realized two alphas can cooperate, it's really not that hard to have harmony. But although I was the person asking my bio mom if she wanted the foot bath, and finding joy in giving her boot bath after she said yes, she wasn't able to understand herself, and assigned all the bad to me This when I cooked a fish for my family, she waited until me and my dad ate to make sure it wasn't poisoned. And I was also supposed to carry the guilt. So, I still used to fear that shit was my fault. For instance last year my boss was on a cleaning spree and she was going so fast, I got concerned about her working at such a passionate and epically fast pace .... I tried to tell her to slow down but she didn't listen, next thing she had the flu and although I only tried to help, I considered if I had caused her flu, Anyway, Everything ended well between her and I, she's a doll and all we needed to see was I didn't belong to her and she didn't belong to me. Freedom. She's gonna be at the bonfire tonight. But sometimes I truly like to belong to somebody as long as they're okay with me as a person. They can have all the boundaries they need.

Even if it means just holding on to assets, when it comes to converting such assets into money, that is when all the other people's work is raked in. Look, if there exist people with F*** Me Money (so rich that they can be self destructive and still be stable), then there also exists people that can work all their lives and amount to nothing. And if we as a society is okay with having people with F*** Me Money, then the desire to get rich without hard work isn't that out of place after all. And the ship that is society will keep sinking and sinking, until existence is no longer enjoyable or feasible. I feel bad for young people, to be exposed to so much information up front.
