POV Glencar Waterfall Walk, Co. leitrim, Ireland pt.1

Let me tell you about this gem of a place I found - Glencar Waterfall in County Leitrim, Ireland. It's not just a waterfall; it's like stepping into a page from a fairy tale, especially with its connections to the legendary poet W.B. Yeats. You can feel the magic in the air, the same magic that inspired some of Yeats' most beautiful poetry. The waterfall itself is breathtaking. Picture this: ca...

I wish you wouldnt curse😢
very good !
My own explorations here in the early 80s inspired an entire D&D campaign that ran for several years, called The Tower of Moylurg. Great to see it all again.
Love your honest review, very helpful. Thank you.
Does it get windy there? It gets windy here, sometimes very strong winds, has your greenhouse survived winds? Looking at designs atm.
It does get windy here. The greenhouse is supported by the wooden frame which is cemented in. The shell will wobble a little, but no issues. If necessary, you might want to put up a wind-screen near the greenhouse. A living hedge would be ideal.
@@goinfullirish9465 oh wow that's a good idea, thank you.
What a beautiful place.
It sure is.
But youre Australian right? Awesome. And nice video👍🏼
Yes, yes I am. Thanks for watching.
Have you finished the garden? I remember watching that a few years ago, hopefully you continue to post videos, good luck👍
Only just now thinking of making new videos. Thanks for asking
Great job, thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing, you would think a few more could have commented, as they are happy enough to get the free advice. This is why I stopped submitting videos to YT, very little appreciation.
I know exactly what you mean. Ive been off youtube for a while myself.
Thank you for this! I needed to do something very similar but in a smaller crawl space. This helped me visualize the whole process. Nicely done!
Making my washing machine move on its on
There are screws to extend the feet of most washers, get down close to the ground and have a look, you should be able to adjust the level of the feet and steady the machine properly. You can also add a thick rubber mat underneith.
Cat pup ant neither I believe I got a ghost or something
Will have issues if you wash shoes, it might wobble a bit
I know its more money but was wondering if a 2x6 flush with joyce and floor would be stronger and just cut what hangs past joyce board
Yes, I'll be redoing the floor supports in a video soon.
worked great thanks
Thats what matters
Nice job pal ... Did you end up insulating the walls too ?
Not yet, but Im planning on doing it .
Nice❤
Thanks
Hmm, litter box on a heater has to be a poor air freshener.
Trying this tomorrow. Thanks, John!
It works!
you need to buy an extractor fan if only a 20w inline fan to suck out the air so its the same temp as the outside, water condensation happens when the inside temp is warmer than the outside so air being sucked in and air being sucked out will solve it till summer :)
As of writing, there is no wall on the front of the garage, just an open space. Fan wouldnt work. Im going to glue up some damp proof membrane instead.
Fix it?
❤❤❤
This is not a catacomb. Catacombs hold dead bodies
Nice video ❤
cool
Well, don't know if I should thank you or curse you as I was just about 5 minutes away from rationalizing buying a fancy new impact driver, haha. Big thank you from Florida!
I almost dismantled mine, but its never the answer. So happy it worked out!
mortar to wet, i clamp a 10x1 board on front, so all bottles are even, i use dryer mix with fibres, then finish both sides with plain mortar mix.
Cool. Im making more this year.
Mine is doing the same will try Monday when I get back to the job. Has it happened since?
Happens ocassionally, especially if the bit is a little rusty or oxidized. A drop of oil wont hurt either.
@@goinfullirish9465 thanks for the video. It was just what my still needed
only video that shows how to do properly without making mess , thank you irish , taking tip before doing anything thank you once again, it would be grait if you make video how to clean device
Ok Ill get one made!
Everything is a bit of a mess because I'm a slob. Your shop looks neat as a pin compared to mine. Thanks for the tip, I've got a couple of stuck bits to try this on.
Its the Irish mist that makes my tools get rusty, next year, walls all round. The humidity has killed a couple of my electric tools. Thats why the bits get stuck, try it out.
16:00 NO YOU DID THIS JOB PROPERLY. DO NOT SECOND GUESS YOURSELF. YOU HAD A TERRIBLY WARPED AND SLOPING FLOOR. ADJUSTING THE FEET STILL WOULD NOT HAVE PRODUCED A STEADY ENOUGH SURFACE (ESPECIALLY, WHEN YOUR WASHER IS ON EXTRA SPIN AND RINSE CYCLES). THE DRUM IN YOUR WASHER HAS TO REACH TERRIFIC SPEEDS TO RENDER MOST OF THE WATER FROM THE LAUNDRY. EVENTUALLY THE MACHINE FEET WOULD BEGIN TO WOBBLE, THEN WALK AND ULTIMATELY SHAKE THE MACHINE VIOLENTLY, OVER TIME. YOUR STEPS WITH THE CONCRETE MAY BE SEEMINGLY UNNECESSARY TO A NOVICE, BUT THEY WERE THE CORRECT INSURANCE YOU NEEDED TO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WHILE THE MACHINES SIT IN THAT AFFECTED CORNER. STACKING THE MACHINES ALSO TURNS OUT TO BE AN ADVANTAGE OF ADDITIONAL WEIGHT ON TOP OF THE WASHER. MINE ARE NOT STACKED, AND THE BALANCE IS OFF ON THE WASHER, EVER SO SLIGHTLY. THIS IS CONTINUALLY A CAUSE OF CONCERN UNTIL I FOLLOW YOUR METHOD. MY MACHINE ROCKS AND VIBRATE ABNORMALLY ON ANYTHING ABOVE LOW SPIN. THAT IS NOT THE PROPER USE OF ALL THE UTILIZATION ADVANTAGES OF THE WASHER TECHNOLOGY. LESSONS: YOU COULD HAVE ADDED THE CONCRETE TO THE BUCKET ON THE OUTSIDE, AND HAVE LET THE DUST SETTLE; BEFORE, THEN GOING INSIDE, AND MIXING IT WITH WATER. PROPER CONCRETE MIXES DRY VERY QUICKLY, SO ADDING WATER HAS TO MEAN THAT YOU ARE READY TO POUR -RATHER THAN STILL BEING AT THE MIXING STAGE. YOU SHOULD HAVE USED A VERY PAPER THIN LAYER OF FOAM AROUND THE WALLS OF THE SURROUNDING AREA THAT YOU POURED YOUR MIX. THEY SELL CONCRETE FOAM AT MAJOR HARDWARE STORES. AND YOU SHOULD HAVE PRE-SURFACED THE FLOOR OF THE AFFECTED AREA WITH CONCRETE PRIMER FOR A MORE RIGID AND STRUCTURALLY SOUND FLOOR. WITHOUT THE CONCRETE PRIMER, WATER TENDS TO ABSORB MORE INTO THE FLOOR THAN IT WOULD THE CONCRETE MIX. THE WATER STAYING IN THE CONCRETE MIXTURE IS CRUCIAL TO THE CHEMICAL RELEASE OF THE HARDENING PROCESS IN CONCRETE POURS. WATER STAYING IN THE CONCRETE POUR ENSURES THAT THE FINAL PROUCT OF YOUR LABOR WONT CHIP, CRACK, OR BECOME BRITTLE AT THE SURFACE. I’M LEARNING HOW TO DO THINGS PROPERLY TO PREVENT FUTURE PROBLEMS. I ENJOYED WATCHING YOUR VIDEO AND I LEARNED FROM YOUR FIRST-TIME SLIGHT MISTAKES. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Excellent observations, theres always room for improvement. Thanks mate
I used my impact drive with a drill bit, which I normally don't do. The drill bit got stuck. I used WD40, put the bit in a vice lock and ran the drill in reverse. It came right out. Thank you for your video.
Sweet. Happy to hear that
So I tried grip + reverse method the moment you said it came out. I was up all night and this helped in seconds. Thank you ❤
So happy it worked out!
You’re a blessing mate, gonna use this tomorrow to save the makita my dad got me shortly before he passed, you’ve saved so many impacts at this point
Worth it! Hope it all goes well!
Your detector is utter junk, you need to spend €500 even for a entry level machine they are not cheap never were
Yes, thats right.
You need a multi frequency detector get a nox 800
One day
the oil did it for me!! took a few times with the pliers after working on it for what seemed like forever.I even took it to the ace hardware and they couldn't get it and I'm a girl!!!💃💯🛠 with tools!
Yep, a drop of oil is the secret. Happy it worked out.
Paint with good sealer, use shop vac, mine is 10 feet 6 inches
Good idea
Life saver. I was getting ready to do a service claim.
it doesn't hurt to put a drop of oil down the shaft, especially if you are using rusted bits. It still happens to me, but I don't panic anymore. Happy it worked out!
Anti-Condensation Paint
Right, it has fibers in it or something. there's also a stick on felt for the underside, but I've been thinking about laying bitumen sheet on top... will make a video eventually.
You can buy a roll of the self adhesive anti condensation fleece online, or if you want to do it super cheap then buy some of that self adhesive bubble foil stuff. Both options will stop the drips.
Tried looking for this adhesive felt or adhesive bubble insulation, its like rocking horse shit, you any links or info where can purchase it, thanks in advance 👍
Did you ever sort this? I have the same problem but want a solution that wont cost hundreds. My roof is around 4m x 6m so spray foam etc is too much cost. But will be moving tools in there at some point so need something.
nope... just covering the tools with plastic, for 2 years!
@@goinfullirish9465 😬 I've put my workbenches up, but reluctant to move my tools in yet, waiting to see if it drips. My roof is pretty steep so hoping its just the beams, in which case I'm gonna try lagging them with old bubble wrap. See what happens then.
What size wood are you using? 2×4?
its actually 1 by 2, its very lightweight and needs reinforcing with brackets!
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
2nd highest in Ireland and certainly not the highest in Europe by a long way.
Gripping the bit with vice grips and going in reverse worked for me. Thanks!
As long as it works!
worth a look...
Good job.
thanks mate
Her reaction is so funny.
If you take the journey at the wrong time, theres a helicopter rescue service. maybe we shouldnt have read that sign before we crossed.
mine had the broken part of the bit stuck in the driver chuck. You could not get a new bit to lock. WD40 and a bunch of banging and knocking and the broken part popped out. Works like new.
thats the nightmare scenario, but once its out, the relief is palpable. Thanks for commenting
