It's a substitute for real-life experiences and connections, but a poor one. For older folks, too. We know how to do real life, but so many of us are preoccupied and forget to call, drop by, make plans, and get together. It's been worse since Covid, too. If you have people in your life daily It's easy to not dwell on social media. But trying to reconnect in real time is a modern challenge. I like RUclips for information, but the shorts are not helpful generally.

I started giving up certain apps and games "just for one month." It was surprising how much I didn't miss them. It was also surprising how I gradually fell back into them. There are games I deleted outright, and I'm glad. Social media is a bit trickier. I want to stay in touch with certain people (although Meta apps sure as shit never show me their posts when they can show me ads, suggested groups, and random reels.) Right now I have a 15 minute timer on Insta and Reddit and it's working out. 🤞 I'm considering taking a RUclips break next.

i always wear whatever i want whenever i want. the only thing im watching out for is what kind of ocassion is it or like im someone that really is into light colored clothing which is not handy for going out when people are about garanteed to trow drinks on ur shirt so ill just make sure i still take on of my favs but on that isnt really that bad if someone spills a drink or some. but fr when you wear whatever you want whenever you feel like a G even if its just to work or school

i remember the first time i left instagram, it was the most peaceful period of my life. ever since i realized that i haven’t been on there for over a year now, if i am it’s related to work. im now at the point where i don’t allow social media to consume me, im currently on a journey to better myself and social media will only wipe the progress i’ve made. delete social media, take control of your life.
