Join us on Days 15-19 of our 32-day journey from Ontario to Newfoundland and back. After two weeks of driving, camping, and living out of our car, we switched things up by leaving the car behind to live out of our backpacks on the East Coast Trail. This 336-kilometer trail runs along the Northeast shore of the Avalon Peninsula and offers a unique blend of natural beauty and challenge.
Our adventure began with a few days at Lockston Path Provincial Park, where we packed our backpacks for the upcoming five-day trek. After a morning of preparation, we headed to a Honda de...

  • @MsLinaTina
    @MsLinaTina Месяц назад

    For those wondering, where she is standing is called "the spout" the ocean waves break in under the rocks she is standing on and then shoot up like a gyser. Through a small hole in the rock. Because the energy comes from the waves the size of the spray varies greatly. On a calm day like this one you get a small bit of mist. On a day with higher waves from a storm you get a much larger spray that can be very impressive. This is on an isolated hiking trail, so it's a big effort to get in to see it. The ocean is just out of frame to the right.

    • @Tents.and.Timber
      @Tents.and.Timber Месяц назад

      Excellent description! If you watch our previous short you will see what it looks like with a good wave spraying up through the hole in the rock. We also have lots more about it in our long form video about our experience backpacking the East Coast Trail. Thanks for commenting.
