I love the fall hot color, burgundy
@@cherylwills236thanks! Burgundy and plum have both been a recent obsession (:
💚
I'm thinking of going to the Amazon later this year. To prepare, did you take any vaccine or would you recommend wearing protective clothing to prevent being bitten by mosquitos or other animals?
@@m19h94t great question! Other than the COVID vaccine I didn’t take any extra precautions. I would say any bug repellant spray or clothing you find effective should be sufficient. I mainly wore sun protective long sleeve clothing but the mosquitoes still got through :/
@@yemanemelen Ah I see. Thanks for the recs!
Yeah u can't eat whatever u want until age 40 After that you have to EXCERCISE every day And you're not eating anything fattening or bad anyway
Hmmm, thanks for your comment! I guess I think of things a bit differently. When I say "I eat whatever I want," I'm not insinuating I only eat "healthy," or "non healthy," foods, more that I try to listen to my body and what i'm craving, not following any particular food rules at all.
Love the video ✨
Thank you thank you!
The air max trainers are cool 🙂 I love the colours you chose

One of my dreams is to live in Medellin , I went there last year and I love that city.
it's a really special place (:
I love this video! I’m from Medellín, living in Miami for 8 months now and my heart is full from listening you talk about my beautiful city <3 I missed it so much. Te mando un abrazo!
this makes my heart so full! Medellín is such a special place, I hope Miami is treating you well (: te adoro!
@@yemanemelen I'm adapting, but overall Miami is treating me well. te adoro más!
Beautiful toes 👀😳😍❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
I'm the 200th subscriber. Yah! Just now figuring out your channel. It starts out really well. Anyway, hi!
Hello!! My channel is a bit of everything honestly, thanks for subscribing (:
Hello the purple drink is chicha morada made of red or purple corn, best served chilled in the summer mostly at least for me.
Yes! Chica Morada was one of my favorite drinks, I brought a bunch of hard candy home flavored chica and just recently ran out! I'm sad haha
@@yemanemelen Hello I think you live in NY? I know in New Jersey there is a big peruvian community, I bet you can find more chicha morada candies, not an imposible task, I could sugest googling for peruvian shops in NY and NJ, hopefully you can find more hehehe, I think your video was pretty good and well made, congratulations, if you ever come again try summer time, I guarrante it will be a different much happier and colourfull experience, all those winter melancholic foggy and grey days dawn on you and contribute to build the peculiar character of the Limeño.
@@victorsanchez4351 Thanks for the tip, Victor! I'll definitely do a bit of research (:
Hiya yeah the old centre of lima has much better weather than Miraflores, specially noticeable during the winter months when the coastal districts are grey and foggy most of the time.
You in your video only shows the slums. Did you spend your all time over there? We don’t think so.
I spent most of my time in Laureles and El Poblado. My intention wasn't only to show impoverished areas, I used a clip over those communities to show the size of the city not the inhabitants .
Thanks for visiting and loving our country, great video, god bless you, greetings from USA 🇺🇸
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love Colombia and enjoyed sharing a little piece with folks (:
thank you for spreading our culture
Of course! Peru is a beautiful country!
congratulations 👏
thank you!! I really enjoyed the trip!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m going next month and can’t wait! 😊
of course, Brittany! I hope you have the best time, have some guanabanana juice for me (:
Colombia is "western" and its generally only the US that is obsessed by consumerism & $$, you dont need money to be happy when you have family, community & culture. Yes, there is some extreme poverty in Medellin, ironically mostly people having to beg in rich areas like Poblado rather than those living in "poorer areas" with a roof over there head. Thats why poverty in the US is so much demeaning than in other cultures.
I’ve definitely witnessed the contentment levels are different in countries outside of the U.S. surprisingly, I don’t think it’s constricted just to western influenced countries, places like Italy and France, especially in smaller towns, I think radiate a similar level of happiness as those in South America.
@@yemanemelen agreed. That's why I don't use the term "western" it is outdated (arising from the Cold War period along with similarly outdated "third world" and smacks of unfounded superiority with racial & colonial style undertones, which too are outdated. Colombia is a fantastic country that does so many things much better than the USA (other than national politics in which they are both messed up!). Viva Colombia 🇨🇴 🙂
@@tahiti1 I wholeheartedly agree! I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back (:
@@yemanemelen The French Revolution, the Roman Law and the ICAR did their job...
For vegetarian you need to move to Laureles. Vege everywhere near Parque Laureles
Great video 👍
Hey, great vlog! How did you find this apartment! Im looking to move to Colombia for a month next year. Would appreciate any help :)
Thanks! We actually found this space on airbnb! I’d say Poblado is definitely the neighborhood to look into.. there are a ton of Internet cafes/grocery stores/metro access, etc
Awesome video what a great view from your air bnb me and my wife are going back and fourth from doing a Caribbean vacation to Jamaica with the white sand and blue waters or doing something totally different like 5 days in Meddillen and then 5 days in Cartagena. Have you ever been to Jamaica? How was the night life in Cartagena? Thanks for the video new sub here ! I love travel videos !
I haven’t ever been to Jamaica :/ it’s definitely on my list! I loved Cartagena though, if you’re looking for nightlife&island relaxation. My favorite bar was Alquimico, if you visit you have to try their house drinks! absolutely amazing. I’m biased since I spent almost a month in Medellín but I don’t think you could go wrong with either location (:
@@yemanemelen thank you very much for the response! We’ll def try that bar you mentioned! Hope you have a great weekend!
Awesome video
LOVE this city! Glad you enjoyed your experience !
I did! A month was definitely too short :/

Thanks for showing machupichu to the world 🇵🇪
Perú 🇵🇪 🇵🇪 🇵🇪 🥳🥳
Wait, you went there without googl-it...how big it is?🤣
Reading a population number, and seeing how a city is landscaped is pretty incomparable haha
Great tips, going there next month but a better mic will do much better.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!! Will definitely look into getting a better mic (:
Beautiful city
Would love to know where you stayed ! Loved this
I stayed in Poblado!! I would describe it as pretty hip/up and coming (: lots of nightlife/expats tend to stay here!
I want to go to that place it would be excellent and renew energies.
Did you book everything for machu picchu yourself or did a tour company help (train, bus, and entrance ticket)? Also I heard that you have to have a guide in order to enter Machu Picchu but I think you mentioned that you didn't have one...?
Hey Natalie! I booked everything on my own (entry tickets, train to and from Cusco, and the bus ticket from Aguacalientes to Machu Picchu). Also, when we got to the site, we didn't book a tour guide but a lot of people did (I'd say it was 50-50). Lots of guides are in Aguacalientes and ava for bookings!
Pretty lady gives her insight with some good shots too!
the efficient way of living ...
Omg! I am so excited for this! It is so beautiful up there 😍 how was the bus ride up? I have heard it can be a lil scary 🙈😭 Also your sis and the dogs, that was me in Mumbai haha
the ride was BEAUTIFUL!! seriously, I think the trip is well worth it just for the views (: I can see how the switch backs can be a little scary though, but what a way to go!! Haha yes, I love all the animals and we can’t say the same about her lol
Beautiful narrator...(no guys!....you cant keep the camera on yo selves like she is!}
This was so peaceful to watch 😍😍 thank you!!
alwayssssss <3
did you go to the el totumo mud volcano in Cartagena?
I actually didn't, we pretty central :/ I've heard the experience is really amazing though!
I love this vlog!! Medellin took me by surprise too! <3
Seriously! I just left and definitely felt a bang in my chest <3 Were you recently visiting?
