$75 is a great fee ! I would charge my client for the state fees (include it in my price) then give you the check/money order to pay state fees. That notary was tripping!

Yes, it is. Many RON platforms are always looking for notaries to become platform witnesses, backup or full-time platform notaries.

@@resheedarhines7813 No, that's not correct. You have to complete an assessment, pass that, be approved by them as a platform notary & then complete training.

How did you get your signature and seal onto your computer?? And, this example is for RON or in person?
The example is for RON & In-Person. In Adobe, when you Edit a document, you can choose E-sign & then it will let you create your signature to use on the document.

Credit or debit cards using square, and invoicing for regular business clients that use your services for GNW. That's usually a larger check but you set the terms. I always put on my invoices Due upon receipt.

If you do a POA for someone in a different state, can you connect both parties that have to sign the paperwork or do u do each session separately?
This is a great question....... All parties, including witnesses can be on the call at the same time, so there can be one fee for one session & not multiple. Most platforms allow you to have 4 people including the notary on the session at one time. I don't know if other platforms allows more than four signers per session.

Can you do RON on a tablet or do you have to have a desktop or laptop?
@@resheedarhines7813 Great question. You can do RON on a tablet, but I believe it would be very difficult due to all of the fields that have to be filled in on the forms.

Hello & Thank you for watching. What state are you in? My advice would be to complete research in your area to see how many notaries are currently approved & working. I would also tell you to determine if you are going to be part-time or full-time. Also, what's your WHY for becoming a notary & what are your goals (short-term and long-term).

But, I am interested in notary because I hear a lot of people say they need help with certain documents but don't know how to go about the process. And I would love to help if I can. How is RON? Can you tell if you set your own hours for that?
I don't think so. If that is your price, that is your price. I know you wanna help as much as you can but give me a break $75 is not high cause you are actually doing the work. We spend more on getting our hair done. 😂😂

@@metucker20147 Welcome back to the industry!! There are trainings you can take, but ensuring that your notarizing is correct is the best thing. If you make sure that's in order, you should be good to go. I'm here if you have any questions or need any advice.
I'm new as of April this year. I drove 1 hr for $75 and 2 hr for a seller package for $130. I accepted some of the assignments for experience. I now negotiate for my time driving roundtrip, gas and wear on my car. I feel like the pages I have to print come i to play also. I probably will never do a reverse mortgage for less than $150 because I printed 500 pages and the assignment got canceled the day before and I received nothing.

Thanks for info. I am applying to be a notary in Florida and I was told I had to become a notary first before I could become a RON. Both applications cannot be done at the same time. Your info says otherwise 🤔🤔

From a customer service standpoint, cause we are providing some sort of customer service dealing with people, I would've said yes. She would've got the cheapest shipping plus the admin fee, but she would've said yes cause it would've sounded like a great opportunity.

@@iraniapruitt but I bet she charged him all kinds of fees including a fee to expedite. If she charged him the $75 to expedite it then that shouldn't have affected her. Also my honest opinion is that if you don't live near the Secretary of State but offer Apostille services, then you are going to have to pay someone something to take care of your customers but that's just my 2 cents

I agree with you! You know your value and you stand on that. I think that the $75 fee should be yours alone...$45 net is totally not worth it unless maybe the Dept of State and FedEx are right next door to your home office (walking distance)😂. Happy Couriering!

@@RookieSDR This is a great question.... The documents must be notarized before they arrive at the Department of State to be completed. The Department of State doesn''t have notaries on deck to assist you.

Thank you. If you are asking if I get loan signings at night, yes. The times are really based on the signer & as we know, individuals have different schedules. There are notaries who are 24-hour. Yes, there is also work on the weekends as well since that may be the only time the signer can sign.

Yes, I print all pages of the package out, even the ones I know the signer doesn't have to sign. Most services wany full scan-backs and will dock you if you don't.
You should charge $99 all fees included lol because take all the fees and your time/gas into consideration

I’m don’t provide the service, but how much more would it cost them to go and handle it themselves? I’m sure much more. They are paying for convenience. Otherwise, they can wait the number of weeks it takes to receive it back. Like NotaryEJ says your cost is your cost. I would not include the state fee and delivery fee unless you increase your price to include those fees. Unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to please everyone, but kudos for sticking to your price.

Yes, if it is needed. Most of the times, I just add it in behind the original, & write a note on the original to "Please See Attached Notarial Certificate".

Hello and thank you for posting this. It sounds like Loan Signing fees. That's why I haven't done to this day. I have not done this work before, but imho, your fee is your fee. You have done all the calculation and you know what it takes. I suspect they called you because other couriers have turned them down. If the fee was $75 per day, I might consider it...but I doubt it. Sounds low to me. The notary should perhaps pass the costs to the client, not penalize the courier/notary. They have no idea of what your costs are. And as the courier, you should not have to justify your costs. That's why you can't low-quote a job too early in the process. Otherwise just eat the cost and learn how to quote a job and leave room to get compensated properly. You Go NGC!👏
