I just love how this engine ticks away at idle, so sweet. I wish all modern mowers would idle down this low, makes emptying the catcher so much easier. It also has throttle response, which is also missing from modern Brigg's engines.

How I Wash Wheels!
Просмотров 468Месяц назад
For me, wheel cleaning is all about maintaining a state of cleanliness. With regular cleaning, the nasty stuff coming off your brakes and the road underneath won't have a chance to bake and bond to the wheel finish. This also means you don't need heavy duty wheel cleaning chemicals. After an initial rinse, I spray the tire with P&S Brake Buster, scrub and rinse. I then foam the wheel with norma...

This 2001 Victa Corvette 400 fitted with the Briggs & Stratton Sprint 375 was the mower that started my business back in my early teens. This mower was worked hard for many years, even after upgrading to bigger and better machines, its just so light and easy to use that I often grabbed this instead. Over the years, it's made me a power of money! Despite impeccable maintenance over the years, af...

A short drive featuring my FG XR6 Sedan. I bought this vehicle brand new in 2008, it’s one of the first FG’s off the line. Important to note this is the naturally aspirated inline 6, and other than XR6 Turbo brakes, it’s completely standard with just over 31,000km on the clock. I factory ordered this car and is fitted with the optional 6-speed automatic, Streetwise Blue cloth interior, 18-inch ...

With my new Mustang finally in my hands, it's time to start getting this up to DFB-spec! In this case, I used this opportunity to do the decontamination wash now, giving me a head start on a much larger detail in the coming week. Victa Commando - Poor Running
Просмотров 5103 месяца назад
This mower is being a bit of a diva! At one point it was running wild, over revving quite badly. All of a sudden, it now randomly bogs down on full throttle. After checking and replacing the diaphragm spring, checking for air leaks, and a replacement fuel tap that wasn't flowing enough, it's now idling properly but still bogs down. More investigation is required.

What's making those sounds in the background?
You're not the first to ask that question. They will be either Sulphur-crested Cockatoo's or Corella's, quite noisy birds.
Love the first exit, then nope, I want to go back in again.
Thought the exact same thing. He rarely gets into the water, so it's a somewhat foreign novelty for him.
Kendall enjoyed the video and wants to know your dogs name?
Faych or Faychie, keeping the weird name spelling theme running in this family.
@dfbsgarage she likes that name😇
Is it free spinning or the stupid shroud?
0:23 wht did you use ??!
P&S Brake Buster, always undiluted on tires.
Very nice. And well maintained so didn't need the sledgehammer cleaners 👍
Thanks! And yes, apart from the occasional deep clean with an iron remover, I only ever wash these wheels with soap.
C L E A N 👍👍
Wouldn't have it any other way!
Test comment
Such a good sound for a 6, lovely growl without being over the top.
Very subdued, there when you want it, gone when you don't.
ADS at work📣
Love it, congrats on the new ride 👏
Maybe a mic to hear that exhaust💡 I mean I can hear it but we wanna REALLY hear it🏁🏁
Ha ha, she doesn't really have an exhaust note, so what you hear is about it. I kinda like it like that.
Nice setup, where did you get the steel braided hose to connect to the water supply ? Looking at upgrading to a wall setup now
If you are in Australia, I got them from Dural Irrigation. Mine is the 19mm. duralirrigation.com.au/products/stainless-steel-braided-hose-mf?variant=48064178913599
God i love this machine, nice demo!
The car or the polisher ha ha. The Rupes is so smooth, plenty of speed headroom, very natural to hold and use.
@@DFBsGarage Dude the car is bangin' i thought it's self explanatory xD Me as a European dream of owning an American muscle car one day (ohh the Camaro SS 67'), although i am a BMW guy 4 life. I don't get some of the hate on this polisher (especially the low power argument), for me it has plenty of power, sure it stalls but you can work it with techniqe (as with ALL DA that i worked with). Awesome tool. I love the smoothnes of it and the weight.
@@victoryensured7137 It broke my heart, but that Mustang I traded a month ago for a new S650. The new car is awesome but I'm still bonding with it. The old car nailed everything I love in a car, it sold at the dealer within a few days and I can only hope the new owner loves it as much as I did. I love how the internet can downgrade something they have probably never even used. The battery placement is not the issue some would have you believe.
@@DFBsGarage I agree fully at all you said! Also for me the battery is a non issue :) Man that S650 looks sick af, i hope you will love it, but the red one was a rocket, don't pout though, sometimes in life change is good even though we think it's not at first.
@@victoryensured7137 No pouting, I was ready for a change and I'm gradually falling in love with this new one and discovering how it ticks. The interior is the massive change, getting used to all the customizable stuff is taking longer than expected. The updated Coyote I can't wait to fully extend, its sound a rev happy engine and the 10-speed makes the most of that.
🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎 POWERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Only going to sound better as it's broken in Deyon📣
Certainly will, can't wait to open the taps a little.
Nice work, cool ride
Thanks Dave, much appreciated.
Very nice 😁😁 Can't wait to see it all polished up.
Thanks so much!
I'll check AG for the process but nothing better than that first wash...well, other than the first major detail/coating 😎
Yep, the first wash is like a bonding moment, as I'm sure you will understand.
Congrats on the new pony shes a beaut! What do you plan on coating it with?
Thanks! Armour Detail Supply Quartz for the paint, along with their High Temp Wheel Coating.
Hi, I love the Rover Pro Cut 560. I actually have x 2 of the mowers in my garage. I live in the UK. As you probably know the spare parts are tricky to get now here in the UK. I would like to see the Rover Pro Cut 560 back in production as they are really great machines.
Agreement to all of that, they were/are the best commercial lawn mower ever made. Even in Australia, parts are starting to get hard to find. And too have had 2 of these.
@@DFBsGarage How old is your Rover Pro Cut 560? I've always wanted to know why Rover decided to stop manufacturing the Pro Cut 560. I stay in the UK and parts were once easy to get a hold of but now I've had to revert to getting spares from a mower company out in Australia. It's good as they've been able to post out the parts to me to Scotland. Would love to see the Pro Cut 560 back in action, they beat any other mower.
Haven’t seen this product before very cool 👍🏻👍🏻
Took me a while to find an Australian supplier, expensive but worth it. They also make 360-degree swivel version too. ccassolutions.com.au/product/prevost-air-coupling/
ig its probably airflow issues idk much about engines but heres what i'd check 1: check for a loose throttle/choke 2: contaminants in the fuel 3: maybe a faulty flywheel brake im not trying to be offensive btw
No news from AG yet😋
Love it 😀😀. I now have a manual and realized how much I missed it. The 10 speed is nice, but nothing like rowing thru the gears..
This Mustang has been my first manual performance car, it took me a while to adjust but it's been a really fun experience. For my S650, I've gone for the 10-speed auto this time. The long gearing of the later MT-82 manual is what made me go for the 10-speed. If they put the Tremec across the range, that would be a different story.
Deyon, how much longer on the new car🤔 Also I got a response back from Autogeek last week and they said the forum was down for maintenance, they said about 1-2 weeks, we shall see🤷♂️
End of October for my S650. Autogeek is back up and running again, hope to see you back there soon.
@dfbsgarage I'm checking right now, thanks👍👍 We'll all be so glad when you get your new ride😎
@@klasseact6663 It's been two years this September. Who would think that a Ford would take this long to be made.
@@DFBsGarage I can't get on AutoGeek's forum through my usual path, Tapatalk😋
@@klasseact6663 I think Dave had issues with that too, I've always used on a PC. It's a completely different look/software.
That machine is super smooth, the polisher as well.
Thanks on both counts!
Must be great to use a polisher w/o a cord👍👍
It certainly is, I've been cordless for a number of years now. The exception to that being the Rupes LHR75 pneumatic, which I just love using even if it means dragging an air hose around.
@@DFBsGarage I'm workin' a HLR 15 and lately i bought a PXE-80, man what a great combo, i can get 98% of all cars with it. Cordless is godliness.
That sounds awesome, not over the top, i can certainly see why it's a cure for the blues. Makes me miss my V8s.
I think that's where a lot of guys go wrong with Coyote powered Mustang's, choosing "over the top" exhaust systems that make a lot of noise, not all of them pleasant. In this case, keeping a resonator keeps the rasp out of the equation.
Very nice. The roar of the Coyote thru a Borla system never gets old 😍
Yep, very addictive!
Sounding great Deyon👍👍
There is a reason why I call it a V8 powered anti-depressant, that sound never gets old!
Hey mate, are you on Instagram? If so, give me a follow, I would hate to lose touch re Autogeek being on its last legs.
@dfbsgarage I'm not on the usual social media sites, do you still have my email address? I really thought they'd figure it out 🤷♂️
@@klasseact6663 I emailed them today, but I suspect this is the end, which is really sad. A lot of people, including you and I, have put heart and soul into that forum. I've checked my email, but I can't find your address. Are you on any other forums?
Love it 😁😁. Amazing soap.
Sure is! In fact, the whole ADS product lineup is impressive.
Do you think summer temps might make the foam a bit runnier?
Not sure to be honest. I'm pretty generous with the dose rate on soaps, so using less product would thin it down.
Nice mower mate....Love the 2 stroke sound.
They have such a distinctive sound, always reminds me of my grandfather and his Victa.
What kind of GPM / flow do you get at 1000psi? Love to know more about your setup
In standard form, the Kranzle KHD-10 does 2.64 GPM and about 1850 psi from the OEM 4.2 nozzle orifice. I'm running the machine with a Mosmatic gun and nozzles with a 4.5 orifice, which has it at about 1500 psi and 2.8 GPM.
Is it louder than stock exhaust? Wish there was a decibel chart
It's considerably louder than the stock exhaust. Keep in mind this is a pre-facelift S550, these early examples had a very subdued exhaust note. I don't normally modify cars, but the stock exhaust was just far too quiet. Australia has much stricter noise emission standards, so the Borla Touring with the resonator is on the boarder line of legal.
Very cool it’s got an oil filter! Great for longer life
Wow what a beast. I just got the Bunnings special Echo with B&S 750 and its amazing. So this one has gotta be good. Congrats!
Great mower you've got there :-)
The tone of a Borla system is probably the best I have ever found 😁
Will you go Borla on the S650 and if so will you go w/o the resonator 🤔
Sounds like...MURICA😎
Sure does, even on the other side of the world! Loud and Proud!
@@DFBsGarage does it have a resonater🤔
It has the Borla resonated H-Pipe rather than a regular H or X-pipe, reducing drone and raspiness. @@klasseact6663
Not sure yet, with the Active Exhaust, Ford sort of nailed the sound. I think I may just replace the factory resonator with a Borla X or H pipe and leave the rest alone. At least with the Active, you can tone it down depending on mode selected.
Sounds great Deyon😎
Thanks! Not bad for a completely stock vehicle!
What is the recommended fuel ratio for these ?
25:1 was the and still is the recommended ratio. Victa sells a 50:1 2-stroke oil, but they still recommended a 25:1 ratio for their engines right up until they were discontinued.
Beautiful condition, how old is that one?
Thanks! I bought it brand new in May 2015, so 8 years old now. I sort of bought it as a keepsake when Victa signaled the end of their 2-stroke engines, so it gets occasional use or when I need something to tackle extra-long grass, can't beat a 2-stroke for that!
@@DFBsGarage Agreed, they eat through anything you throw at them without a complaint. Wish they still made them, would buy a new one in a heartbeat. I’ve been trying to find a 2014-16 one for ages now but I can’t seem to find them unfortunately. Any idea on where to find one?
The alloy base models are harder to find, but they occasionally pop up on Facebook Marketplace, on Gumtree or at your local tip resale shop.@@Thee.Trainspotter
