Good song!! I never knew this singer was the original artist I always thought it was by love and theft! I think the original never made it big because when he sings it, it sounds more like a poem. Love and theft just give it more emotion and you can feel the words as opposed to hear them.

I have never had the opportunity to see him live. He was at Bethel Woods in 2018, but was unable to go- some one close to me died unexpectedly. Hope I get a chance to see him multiple times. Hey, maybe they need a Bowen practitioner on their tour?

He is a hack. I wasted an hour watching his laughable documentary about his self inflated ego. His dislike for other musicians or contemporary bands reflects badly on him. Instead of producing and collaboration he slams other bands and musicians. Disgruntled and jealous old man. His so-called art could be respected but he is so bitter that in his self deprecation of his own art work, he also insults other artist who don't paint in the classical style. He keeps churning out this horrible harmonic drivel. Pathetic old man...who snivled over Alison Kraus. She obviously wised up and kicked your drunken arse to the side. Also, how pathetic to have the honor of touring with a Beatle and you're so drunk you cannot manage to come in at the right time. Fucking up the one thing you were being paid to do...play guitar. Ya hack!! Has been. Buh-bye!

Around the 1:42 mark the backing guitar fingering is just magical. The fact that John arranges his music so perfectly that you can detect these intricacies without headphones further exemplifies what an astounding artist he is and has been.

I got all his CDs off my brother back in 1986 and have just loved this man ever since, how can a voice stay so perfect over all these years, we are truly blessed to still have John touring in 2023, without doubt one of the best most enduring rock voices ever.
