San Francisco has never been nice. I was born and raised and it has always been a dirty crappy city. My mom was raised in the city and 50 years ago it was still a crappy city. The only thing that has changed is less murders. The only people who think the city is nice are the people who visit. Or those who stay inside at all times. Obviously, don’t go to the Tenderloin or Hunters Point at night if you don’t want to get robbed. And don’t leave valuables in your car in San Jose and San Francisco.
