It's one of the lesser known things in the game. Really cool that they included it. It's an actual on-screen unalive in OoT. When you try to speak to him again, it just says "He's not moving anymore..." or something like that. They even gave him an animation. He reaches out of arm and trembles at the last. ​@@Myloe

It's an extremely interesting and dark interaction for a game like OoT. I've always assumed that the soldier is a part of some cut content. Maybe they originally intended for the market to be in shambles after the attack but cut it due to either time or hardware limitations.

this is my first play through of the game and when I had that interaction I was just in shock, I didn't expect this wholesome seeming game to go that route 😭

I actually made this video before I ever played Shovel Knight Dig, and I didn’t really consider where it places in the timeline 😅 I was basically just going over everything in Treasure Trove

It's definitely pretty hard getting into it! Once you've gotten the hang of controlling the vehicles, and finding which vehicle suits you best it's not so bad though haha

I really hope so too. It’s such a fun genre, and as many fans as there are, there are way too few of them coming out nowadays compared to the N64 days

Pretty sure Kraid was killed yes. As for Ridley, I think he was alive enough that they were able to keep him alive via mechanical upgrades and stuff. There have been multiple versions of Kraid but Ridley in every game has been the same old Ridley 👍

@@Myloe so basically Ridley surviving was because of via mechanical upgrades and for kraid surviving was because he's a whole spiecies but still sorry for sounding confusing

For me personally, I’m a much bigger fan of SF6. BUT I do think MK1 is a very fun game. It just depends what you’re into when it comes to fighting games. If you like what you see while watching MK1 and want to give it a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed 😁

Yes sir! It both adds confusion to the side of the Kokiri and brings confirmation to Saria’s suspicious of Link being different than the rest of them. I really like that detail

doesnt anyone ever remember that there is a graveyard inside the great deku tree? i just finished master quest and noticed the graveyard again. i always assumed that the kokiri end up buried inside the deku tree.

I don’t have any recollection of a graveyard, and I didn’t find one on my way through The Deku Tree while recording gameplay for this video either. I know Master Quest does change some things in each dungeon, like putting cows in the walls of Jabu Jabu’s belly for instance, so maybe Master Quest changes are to blame?

I had no idea there was a community surrounding this game online until I posted this video! I thought it was just another random N64 game, but it’s awesome to know people still love to play it still today

@@Myloe I wasn't too sure why someone would want to play the N64 version in 2024 when there's a PC version that is infinitely better. The N64 version is struggling to keep it at 10 FPS even if all the textures are downgraded to 3x3 pixels!

@@Myloe Didn't realize they had an online community and that people still play this game. Decided to download it and give it a whirl. I know it got re-released on Steam a few years back by a different publisher, but not clear on if they made any changes to the original source code. But yes, thanks for bringing back the memories. As bad of a rap Acclaim got in its last years, it has still been the best job I ever had and the most fun out of them all.

Honestly I think it’s best played as a wacky party game with friends rather than a proper racing game. I hope if you do revisit the game that you enjoy your time with it!
