Hi, Sorry I haven't been using this channel in the last couple of years, so I just saw the comments. Julio Fernandez use to be a professional dancer in Cuba and has 2 degrees in Cuban Traditional dance and culture in Cuba. We worked together for a couple of years and I learned lots from him. However he lives in Bridgewater, not Halifax (which is a but more than an hour away) I haven't been in touch with him in the last couple of years since it's been hard to perform and teach lately and I have decided to dedicate myself to Kizomba now. but I can pass on his contact info, find me on Facebook and send me a message.

Hi, I'm a young woman in Halifax looking for the African spirituality community in Halifax. I'm from the Caribbean and moved here for school. I've bee doing research and going along my spiritual journey but there is no one in my life right now that "shares my interest". He estado buscando videos tuyos bailando para aprender de ti pero no encuentro. Me gustaría verte bailando rumba y compararme a mi mismo con mis limitaciones para calcular el tiempo que me costara llegar al novel que debes tener tu para haberme dicho algo así. Andrés is a great teacher! He really transmits the rhythm through his movements, which makes it easier to follow. He has taught dancing in Havana for many years and doesn't give up on those of us who have difficulty picking up the beat. He always finds a way to explain the moves so we understand, and has loads of patience. The "Casino" style of salsa is more accessible as it is the style most Cubans, from children to older people, dance in the clubs. It is not as extreme as competitive salsa and easier to accomplish.
