I just worked out a plot hole. In part 2, Doc takes Marty to 2015 to stop Marty’s future son from committing a crime and going to jail. Why did Doc need Marty for that, Doc could simply have prevented that himself by stopping Marty junior. Obviously that wouldn’t make a good movie !

Also the books might not be canon

Let’s not forget if u follow the video games. Indy has face an ancient Chinese Emperor’s Army of the Dead. He recently in the new game been teleported from the Himalayas to Shanghai. Not only that he was teleported into Shanghai during one of Imperial Japan’s bombing raids. He even used the Staff of Moses to raise the sea and drown a German Zeppelin. And recently in this Indiana Jones book i read that takes 10 years before Kingdom of the Crystal Skull he and Mac face zombies in Jamaica while evading Japanese and Nazi forces.

I watch this movie and always wonder why it’s considered the worse. Sure it’s no Raider’s, or Temple of Doom, or Last Crusade but it did feel like an Indy movie. Villains and a mysterious artifact that builds up to it showing its extra terrestrial power in the end and punishing the baddies for messing with it just like all the other villains. And that theme for Crystal Skull. Props to John Williams.

Lucas did ask River if he wanted to play Indy in the tv show. River didn’t want to do tv shows felt it would make his career go backwards

It’s a ok Indy movie. The failure is on the antagonists. Not that it can’t be the soviets. But the movie has a hard time portraying they as the villains. With a better villain all the pieces would fall into place.

Did you really censor your comments by deleting mine from last night, where I pointed out that the whole point of the series was to use the development of Indy's morality to get viewers interested in many of the most important figures of the early 20th century, and that it was accompanied on DVD by half-hour documentaries on all of them. This was Lucas "giving back" by making high quality adventures and high quality documentaries.

Thumbs down. Garbage content. George Lucas is one of the best writers, world builders and film makers ever. I can’t even watch past the first 2 min!

Actually, a few orchestral themes and motifs from Raiders return in "The Mystery Of The Blues" when Harrison returns as mid-aged Indy.

They could’ve called this show Indiana Gump.

Raiders was set in 1936 and though the Nazis started persecuting the Jews in 1933 the Holocaust didn’t start till 1939 and didn’t start proper till 1941. Fun theory though.

I thought it was cool that they had the real crystal king from power miners instead of the orange one from the first Clutch Powers movie. I feel Clutch Powers could of been so much more if it were more successful.
