Interesting concept, very good editing. But I feel like it spoils too much of the film, and the music doesn't quite fit. But again, very good editing. Keep up the good work!

This isn't intelligent. A trailer should never wrap up the movie giving away every steps of the story progression. For example, the father's transformantion into a killer is a slow progress during the movie. When your trailer already tells what's going to happen, it's an anticlimactic strategy.

And like a 2024 trailer it gives away way too much.

Just gotta say the setup of Oregon hotel site and the interior (based on the Ahwahnee in Yosemite) were absolute perfect for the vast foreboding coldness and also the dated tacky 1920's design adds an extra layer of creepiness The real star of the movie this composite hotel Production team shouldve won an Oscar

Suggestion: remove the paper and typewriter insert shots bc it makes me think the murders and horrors aren't really happening - that they're scenes in whatever screenplay you're showing shots of

Well edited and the Wendy Carlos score is terrific. I would definitely echo what @AntuaDeJanei said in their comment about this *not* being a trailer. If I saw this before seeing the movie for the first time I would have been terribly upset about it including shots and spoilers from all the best scenes in the movie. An “homage” is the better description and it does a marvelous job of capturing the tension, fear and horror from this masterpiece. As a personal side note, I would say that “The Shining” is one of those small handful of films that is as close to a 10 as a movie can get. A couple others might be “Jaws”, possibly“Saving Private Ryan” (while we’re mentioning Spielberg flicks), “Back to the Future” (the first one), probably “Forrest Gump” (again, while bringing up Zemeckis movies) and a very small handful of others. I would be tempted to add “2001” and even “A Clockwork Orange” from Kubrick’s catalog, but that might depend on the day I compile my list. Anyone have their own movies that are considered the cream of the crop films?
