This was my childhood. I swear when ever i go to the library i always got fone Bone's books. Honestly theses guys always reminded me of Mickey Donald and goofy
Reunion with my childhood
0:51 Dunno if anyone caught this, but Phoney Bone looks like Snoopy from Peanuts right here.
God these comics got me through Highschool.
Bone freaking rules. Well done Julia.
1400 INDIVIDUAL DRAWINGS?! THAT'S DEDICATION
This brings me back, I grew up reading this series as a child from elementary through middle school, renewing and checking copies from the school library regularly. Thank you for this 😊
These voices were exactly what I envisioned while reading, this is awesome
now do the entire series
That may take me 100 years 😅
DUDE! HOW AM I JUST FINDING THIS!?!?!
Man this was my child hood dude I love this so much
I dare Dreamworks to tackle this series as their next trilogy.
maaaann im very sad i never got to read these books. They were so popular when i was in school that i never got a chance to check them out of the school library
Never too late! Still a great read
W animation and voice acting
I miss reading the books
The first comic book series I was interested in
I am so proud and so grateful to get to be a part of this community. DFTBA
I’ll tell ya what, if anything got me interested in books it was bone
I remember Reading most of books
tbh I always thought Phony had a grungy voice, similar to Mr Krabs without the pirate accent, and Fone had a more youthful voice, but Smiley sounded more or less like goofy haha. but these voices fit so much better than I could've imagined
I honestly forgot about bone... These were probably the most popular books to read in elementary and early middle school... The good ol days :/
I got the comic books series
I remember the graphic novels in elementary, its been so many years 😢
*HELL FUCKIN' YEAAAAAAAAAA*
I LOVE THIS!! Dude, I read all of Bone like, 15 times when I was like, 12. I'm now 18, but, goddamn do I still think of this series
Netflix dropped the ball when they didn't animate this one
I always imagined Phoney having a voice similar to that of Oscar the grouch growing up, where despite being so short he is so cantankerously angry and arrogant that nobody could mistake him once they heard him talk for 5 minutes
Is it just me, or are the voices spot on to the head canon voices I had for them when I read the Bone books as a kid?
I like Smiley's voice. I also like how his mouth kinda bounces from his upper lip like a harp string
Didn't these series have a thing where if you walked into certain spaces you just stopped existing
I remember reading it as a kid too. I never understood why it was called Bone or why the Bone characters are in the story. Towards the end of the novel they didn't really play any part in the adventure. It became all about Thorn. Kinda felt like the story should have just been called Thorn and the bone characters not be involved at all. I don't know what the Bones contributed. Love your animation. To bad there won't be a full show on netflix anymore. Edit: OOOOOHHHH I just looked it up and apparently I was right and there was originally a series he made for his college paper called Thorn which eventually was changed into Bone. Still don't know why the Bones were added or what they actually contributed. Still love the Bone characters though.
#SaveAnimation
And nothing bad ever happened in the valley and everybody was happy forever, the end. Quiche.
It has a similar animation style to the peanuts😂
I always imagined phoney with a classical southern accent but this is also cool
When I read he books I use goofy’ sshh voice for smiley bone, a New Yorkin voice for phony bone, and my voice for Bone himself
Poor lil bones
love how this comic goes from "hey look at these silly characters!" to an all out war
Why are so many companies keep canceling Bone media adaptations??
It’s a shame that we never got a bone adaptation
Absolutely stunning, adore how well you captured the comics art style and charm while giving it fantastic comedic timing.
This was one of my favorite comics I ever read
Gives me Charlie Brown vibes, love it
Peak childhood for me.
OMG I REMEMBER READING THIS STUFF IN MIDDLE SCHOOL IT LOOK REALLY COOL
I always imagined phone bone with a nasally sorta spongebob voice
I remember reading these back in elementary
OK not gonna lie that Cory Wong lick you played from Vulfpeck had me screaming I was not expecting that! Kudos to you. Thanks for this video
So this is why chuckle bone looks like this
I love the Bone series it was so good
