    The knife is terrible, there's no belt clip, the slide is stiff and grindy. Changing the blade is a lot harder than it needs to be. 2/10

    Back in the olden days they used cigar tabacco in chicken coops to kill mites....FYI. it works! Just get a box of cigars and rip up the cigars and throw them around the coup.

    Thank you the information of the Bresse breed. I’m thinking of going that route this spring. I didn’t notice much rooster crowing and see you have nearby houses. I live in town and am concerned about excessive crowing. What has been your experience? Thanks!

      @fewtreezyfilms6821 2 года назад

      Hey Charlotte! I’ll be doing an update video soon but in short we found it helpful to do both American Bresse and a larger broiler like a Cornish. We like the AB for sustainability purposes and in the event there is a problem with shipping and what not we have a meat option. The meat tastes amazing. They just honestly don’t get large enough, fast enough to part them.

    why do you cut boxes? Most cardboard boxes are fairly easily deconstructed, saving the blade for when it is needed.

    • @fewtreezyfilms6821
      @fewtreezyfilms6821 2 года назад

      Because we have a lot of different purposes for cardboard. We also have a lot more boxes than most households given our size. So it’s actually faster.

    Looks like you got a healthy flock of birds. Remember you have to save enough birds so they don't interbreed. A lot of people buy birds from different hatcheries.

    That was helpful. It’s a conversation I have with my wife a lot of the time. The idea the time it takes us to do a project when I’m working full time and commuting and sometimes working overtime v buying from someone that maybe does it full time that can produce fast and in good quality. It’s a big deal. Having our energy and time go to what we want and not all over the place. We just started chickens. So I can definitely build it. It’s a matter of when, and how.
