The little finger subtends and angle of 1 degree, the 3 following fingers are approximately 6 degrees , the thumb alone subtends a 3 degree angle therefore the whole hand at your stated distance cover a 10 degrees angle , I do it all the time when watching at the moon which happens to be half a degree ! Long shot here, but can it help with diminished vision due to macular degeneration? Have a family member suffering from it. He has enough Vision left to be able to effectively watch tv, but he can't read the text or any clocks. He navigates the menus through memorizing buttons. Could this offer any relief? What about helping him use the computer again? And where does one go to get these? I imagine you have to find a doctor that can prescribe them? How do you know who to go to? I'm sure these aren't available everywhere. And how much can one expect to pay? Most people these days especially don't have tens of thousands of dollars to throw at different products in the hopes of something working.

Heeeeey i have an appointment to see Dr.Greene on November 2nd at academy eye associates 😊, wow he's awesome i can't wait to meet him

I made an appointment for my mom but she has macular degeneration. We went there yesterday and the Waynesboro Virginia location. Dr Armstrong this is the most thorough eye doctor that I've seen around. Unfortunately he wasn't able to do anything for my mom's eyes as far as driving again but, she did walk out of the office being able to read her phone, read a bill or any mail. She did not receive glasses but she did receive a magnifying unit where on the eye hand test sheet she was able to read the very last line paragraph. And without this she was not able to read it at all. I would recommend Dr Armstrong for anyone. He was very open and made us very relaxed being in the office and trying different things with the glasses.
