Thank you

I'll show whole process in next video. Please check my other videos.
My name is definitely on the GY Ring lol
@worldtraveler8372 it's a nice ring. It's big 😅
Excellent insight on the personal craftsmanship that stands behind your products
@worldtraveler8372 thank you 😊
Very excited to test this ring on horseback! Thanks a lot Zach!
I should be able to send it tomorrow, unless it's cold or I forget it 🙃 😅
@@nomadicartsarchery It was warm today, so I was able to make it to the post office to send something. Would not have gone if it was cold so I understand lolol
You are a great man. Glad to see you both working together
really nice to see how my ring was finished
It is pretty much identical ring. You can tell by looks of it that I don't cut corners.
Name of the tool can you elaborate?
@adhitiyap097 it is ceramic tile saw. You can get it at hardware store.
Love the simplicity and complexity of the quiver most of all the beauty, and art form. Thank you
Thank you buddy!
beautiful work ❤
@@Hewhoflingssticks-h7h thank you buddy!
Odlična priča i lepi radovi
Hvala iz sve snage 🙂
Looks amazing..i love trying new things with arrows. Thank you for sharing this.
wow!😮👌 Real art of making literally clones of historical archer's thumbrings 👏
@zoranpavlovic9540 there are some differences 🙂
Really nice profile!
Thank you! It is very complex ring to make .
Rockin' 👌💯
One small step at the time😉
I love mine
@Hewhoflingssticks-h7h thank you buddy ❤️
feeling pain😅 I used it。
Nice story! As I mentioned in previous comment - beautiful poetric narration about your inspiration and one single thumb ring... And it really started like that - yoy were the first one who entered my realm of historical archery talking in our mother tongue, gosh! 1/3 of my life! Then soon other people were sent by God or whoever..., Gligor,, Miško, Uli, Matthias Dinko, Stylian, Ricardo, Dušan, Glenn, Jason, Vrana,...soooo many after Atarn since Murat,Ivar, Jack, Bede, Jaap...they were already legends, cannot trace order, at least it is about my experience. You've already realized your dreams but there's yet more to do, I still didn't do that much.
So much to say in rather short time ,but okay,next topic will be broader.
awesome insight into process 🙌
@@zoranpavlovic9540 and now we know 🙂
What a beautiful thumb ring! Excellent!!
Thank you! It will be production model.
Awesome casting equipment and results! Im jelous at your casting skills 😅 Thanks for sharing!
It's not my equipment, I'm renting it by appointment. But I'm lucky to have something like this available.
@@nomadicartsarchery Very Nice! It's not tot to hard to make it in youre jard ore garage! Saw guys casting just diging a smal hole in the ground...
@ThomasK-lg5lu didn't understand what you're trying to sy🙂
pure art and history
Thank you.
Well Done Zack, it's a beautiful Quiver. Is it from any particular Century and Locality in China?
I would say 18th century or later. I should make separate video on design.
sexy as hell
interesting, good video, thanks for posting 😊
Thank you for watching!
Magnificent
Thank you!
displays the arrows so beautifully
Thank you!
That's a stunner
Thank you!
wow! 👌 Is that Fatimide inspired or Balkan?
Keen eye my friend. Apparently from what we know ,according to Sotheby's who sold original ring,it is in fact Fatamide ,11th century if my memory is not hazy. It belonged to Kalif who rolled Egypt at the time. Some sugges diplomatic gift from Byzantine empire, but Bozhinoski argues against it, due to Koran verse engraved on it. Interesting thumbring nonetheless.
@@nomadicartsarchery I didn't have impression it was suitable for archery but if you approved its efficiency then using such kind of (high rank) thumb ring should be moved to earlier period than we consider its usage according archaeology.
Beautifully done. All those decoration types seen on archer's thumbrings either on Seljuk-Nicene border or on the territory covered by medieval Serbian, Byzantine and Bulgarian states and estates that would say modern Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey are brilliant. Pure clone 👌👍 Thumbs up!
Thank you buddy. This one happened to be more generic in decoration. To be honest, I really didn't have clear idea what to do, but it turned out quite decent. For next one I should do more homework and do some sketches of Raška style of artwork, it is quite distinctive but I turned out to be lazy 🙂
Stunning work!
@zoranpavlovic9540 thank you buddy!
thank you, I was searching for this for a long time
@@matuskadoun929 I'm glad it helped someone. It is simple stuff ,but if you don't know, you don't know 😀
do you sell your quiver
@@windy-bu6sq yes.
@@nomadicartsarchery do you have a site online or where can I see some?
I love the shirt. Listening to the outlaw torn right now while i try to figure out how to make consistent arrows. So your it! Last week I chipped a quick arrow, notched both ends of a peice of yard bamboo. Didnt even tie the arrowhead on, and grabbed a kids bear bow, pulled back let it fly and it paased through a foam glass insulating board past the arrowhead a couple inches. I was stunned. My friend was impressed. Free arrows? I cant beleive it. Now to see its a thing? WOW! THANK YOU for the video and your time.
Thank you buddy!
So I got a 1" x 3" piece of sting ray with my bow so I can replace the arrow pass. The back is white and fuzzy. Are you saying i need to glue and sand down both sides before installing? Could I use regular glue or super glue for that part or do I need to go organic? (Trying to use what I have) 😄 Thanks for another good one!
Never tried super glue for this application. I'm sure it will work, but it will be thicker than it needs to be .
Thanks for the tips! Love that you share this info with us!
Hello, I'm interested in trying to make myself some Manchu style target arrows. Would you possibly know roughly what the typical point weight would be as there is limited information out there for tanged arrow heads.
Peter Dekker wrote articles about it. It's available on his website.
@@nomadicartsarchery Ok thank you. I have read through the website it is informative. Suppose I had best continue my experiments trying to make things work with the materials at my disposal, steep learning curve but RUclips is handy.
@mrln247 nowadays you can get some affordable arrowheads online. They don't have to be highest quality, but for learning, it will do just fine.
I made a short clamp by drilling an eccentric hole through a piece of branch (longitudinally) and just sawed a slot to grip the feather. Then I reduced wall thickness to a couple mm by scraping from the outside to make it flexible enough so I can tighten it with minimal hand pressure. So it's just an elastic tube with a slot. I use hide glue so I needed something that works quickly.
Can't wait for the next installments!
Good luck! 🍀🏹
Thank you, Zack! I cant wait to get into this project! Once I do, I'll post on my channel, www.youtube.com/@ChineseArcherySA
Nice to see our Czech Kozel beer :D But honestly... this is one of the s****ty :D
It's all I can afford 😅
I can't access your website.
It turned to be too expensive
I wish I could get one!! :)
Just seeing comment now. Sorry about that. There's a waiting list, but it's doable.
What thickness of the felt do you use ?
1/4" felt.
So are these usable thumb rings or are they just for demonstration?
It will be cast in bronze .
were to buy this ring ? Shop adress?
I made only one for research. I'll have to make few more.
sir... can you share pattern of this quiver to me please
It is almost square piece of leather. Anyone can make it.
