Hail Hector

Amazing, what a teacher! ❤❤❤
Thank you for posting these wonderful videos. What a great storyteller and educator.
Incredible Please more!
A fantastic presenter, thanks for sharing.
Love the lectures by the regretted J Rufus Fears. Thanks for sharing
is this the famous romans series?
Famous Greeks
What a great teacher! He brings the past alive and makes it interesting and real, with great enthusiasm. Thanks so much.
As a method for making man better as citizens and as individuals, history is obtuse compared to the Jesus-Transform. See the pdf of Triune Salvation by John G. Lake.
When Rome went to war all Roman's went to war. When Carthage went to war the Barca family went to war. This is why Rome won.
This “footnotes” statement coming from Mr. Whitehead is just so stupid. It shows Mr Whitehead's limitations more than anything else. I don't know why some American historians mention it every now and then. However, great lecture. Thank you.
So much packed in this lecture. Not a minute wasted!
We have lost so much of this great wisdom by ignoring it, trading it for self centeredness, vanity, greed and violence. Another excellent lecture by the late, great JRF❤
Alcibiades is among the most interesting people who ever lived.
Professor Feers can be pretty funny when he wants to be
This is a great orator but I dont think that he does Nicias' character justice. Nicias was not a" most incompetent of generals", and a man of honour, courage and principle.
Wiat a damn minute. Thucydides himself did not ascribe to Nicias nearly anything that this man did. When Nicias dies Thucydides declares that the most virtuous man in the war was lost. I like this man's oratory style but what is this? I just read the Peloponnesian war and finished it today.
Fears likes to paint a picture in his lectures that he wants you to see sometimes. Just be aware of the times he does it and push past it and enjoy the lecture overall.
Your videos are great thank you!
who is the lecturer?
Rufus Fears, unfortunately he's passed away now.
Thanks! Perhaps that note should be added to the description.@@iandespalo2949
Anyone know what happened to the Julius Caesar and Scipio Africanus videos?????????
Well, Rome wrote quite the origin story for itself.
A wonderful orator. I pray every now and then to Dr. Fears and I thank him for his lessons.
Good lecture. The apology shows phenomenal courage. Regardless of whether it actually happened, we should strive to emulate that courage.
Great lecture ,i have read Plutarch, Suetonius and Tacitus, i always favoured Plutarch but admit i didnt take in, like this show explains, the full understanding of all 3.
What an amazing professor. He will live forevermore in our hearts.
History is indeed a good moral guide.
So cute!
Very well told story of history👍
Brilliant
Dr. Rufus was a legend just like Plutarch 💯 I open RUclips and get lil”bt Rufus for knowledge
Too true--politics can divide.
I still can't believe no one has made a movie about this guy. His life reads like a Monty Python skit.
His name should be stricken from history. I don't understand why people wank him so hard.
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing this.
Benevento was a Samnite city, before Rome and the name "Maleventum" originally in Oscan was Malo Vento meaning Malo translate as hill and Vento as wind that makes it hill of winds not badly Comes.
Superb!
Great teaching.
Virtue, in the true sense as indented at the time, " Greek Virtue."
ty for these videos! Very informative
Socrates did not get money from his students. You got it all wrong.
R.I.P my legend🔥🫶
I find few things more satisfying than listening to Rufus Fears cover antiquity. R.I.P.
love it
