I tried this for dinner tonight. Had to make a few minor changes but nothing huge. The store didn't have many smaller packages of chicken left so I had to buy breast meat rather than thighs, thighs would be better though. I also didn't have konbu or msg so I replaced it with a small spoon of chicken bouillon powder (which is largely msg, so good enough). My rice cooker is the simpler single switch cook/warm style so I wasn't sure if that would affect anything but everything still cooked perfectly. Oh, I also added a bit of extra water because it didn't seem quite as 'soupy' as the video did going into the cooker, not much, maybe 50 ml, I'm not sure, I didn't measure it. Overall very tasty and the remnants will be a packed lunch for work tomorrow. Next time though I think I might only use 2 eggs and I might cut the sesame oil in half, it was a touch too strong for my preference. Thanks for meal idea though, its definitely going to be made again.
