Maybe in the future, embark can include all of the sponsors that available in the season and the way to get sponsors is to get better in the game , the better you are the more sponsors would like to get you in , or make it exclusive sponsorship based on your play style. Even sponsors will give task to player to do to get rewards

Well, it seems that the next season if the gane is going to have a similar idea to your sponsor progression system, however you can only choose one sponsor. However, this is awesome, pretty hyped.

The ingame sponsors is actually a really good idea and works nice of the virtual arena we play in, possebly keeping more players hooked on the game.

And i feel like they probably won't but i really wish we had weapon attachments; I like being able to set up guns my favorite guns a certain way instead of just generic looking scar for example.

My main problem with the finals is lack of weapon customisation and the balance itself. It doesn't feel balance at all. The snipers suck, the melee weapons are OP for a game with that long TTK. It's almost impossible to beat a melee player in closed range, and if the enemy is a large player there's no way to beat them

Interesting ideas and great designs. I like the sponsor choice, it could work as a second circuit with added snippets of story. Also please balance your audio.

Holy shit embark hire this man! I also think it would be cool if there were loyalty rewards where if a certain contestant sticks with a sponsorship for x amount of seasons they get really cool looking gear thats a lot rarer

I'd love to see those ideas in the game, however, the problem with The Finals is down to the gameplay loop and structure and not the progression. The Finals as very average gunplay and doesn't offer the very basics of FPS games these days. Most of the effort seems to go into "presentation-based" stuff which is of course top notch. But the Finals isn't competing with Top FPS games because the FPS part of the game isn't on that level.

This is a great concept man, I love that The Finals has such a dedicated fanbase of people that want to see the game succeed.

The finals core game mode was first made in Battlefield bad company 2 called squad rush. Four squads competing to win and similar objectives but not quite like cash out. The devs made it visually colorful but the gameplay loops and gunplay is quite older from the bad company and bf4 era of shooters. (Why the guns kick more than most of the non tactical shooters) this game pulled a lot players who wanted destruction to be a key feature in a game and still frustrated with most modern FPS design that don’t even consider that. The gameshow universe lore also has allowed finals to not have stupid skins seem off but fit into the game. (And outside of some absurd skins in cod, they look amazing. Wish they would just make the faces of the characters less androgynous and just sexy though)

These are AMAZING ideas. I really hope Embark sees this and implements this, this would make the game just that much better

The reason I don't play the game is because I heard there's rigged matchmaking, that puts you in matches based on skill. That alone is a deal breaker for me. Skill should be kept out of the matchmaking equation unless it's ranked mode. That's why I'm playing XDefiant.

In my opinion - game design is balanced not when dry stats and graphs show that, but when meta shifts with time, because every gameplay instrument is valuable. When I played dark souls 3 pvp, meta was shifted 5-6 times, years after developers ended the game support. Why am I saying that? Look at ubisoft and their games like for honor and rainbow six siege. They try to balance their games by looking at winrate, pickrate and other statistics, but it's a hero shooter, sometimes it's nearly impossible to balance abilities, because of the initial design, so they're cutting them and reworking, depriving these characters of their uniqueness. But the original concept was very balanced and well thought and it was made by the original team, and when the team changed with time, new team fucked up the balance in order to support the game and make new characters, they lost their initial vision. Meta in this game shifts only when the developer says so. The finals has a very good and solid initial balance, every hero has it's downsides and advantages. To meta shift imo you need to have an expanded rock-paper-scissors design, where every tool is unique, valuable and has it's purpose, and downsides, to be able to counter it. Right now they need to add new and unique gameplay tools, and not fuck up the current system, if it needs changes - they should be minimal. They also need to make deeper free progression in the game, make more unlockable skins systems like in call of duty dark matter skin challenges, they need to make gameplay progression deeper like make people get perks or modules on their weapons(their skin system wouldn't allow this xddd), they also should give more valuable rewards for completing tough quests, like actual items(and they kinda did it already, so it's good), and not impersonal low value xp for battlepass. I hope this stuff is readable, it's not my main language and my thought process was very chaotic, but summarizing - embark studios have to find a way to make new content for the game and not break the current well thought working systems(for that they should have good competent game designers, who can listen, but they also MUST know how to defend their decisions, when needed), and to make people attached to the game, they need to focus on f2p progression, where people could get more stuff for free, to express themselves in terms of fashion-souls, they need to make this thing a culture somehow, because people would 100% still donate and give money to the company, because there always would be people like that, you don't need to choke people progressionwise to get money. Of course it's just my opinion, and of course I described a very hard way of supporting not very popular game, but still I hope people who work at embark are competent and will figure these things out. Its cause they didn't get rid of nukes quick enough when the game was popular. 3 of my friends quit because they kept getting insta killed by cheese, and I don't blame them. Game was perfect, then everyone learned about nukes and everyone started running 3 heavy's with rpgs and nuke builds. I know there not as strong but its to late now. I think if they did something about nukes earlier it would be more popular now.

Super impressive UI mockups and great idea overall! It's very disappointing to see how neglected the whole "Sponsor" concept is in the live game. What could've (or could be) a very fresh and novel concept, is instead just a small piece of worldbuilding that's plastered here and there in their weekly challenges system. They're relegated to props on maps and quips from the announcers. Your concept is very innovative. It gives me alot of hope for the future of the game! But yeah, if you're serious about UI Design, UX and/or Game Design, you should seriously think at hitting up Emabrk, this could be a great portfolio piece 👀
