    The vehicle maintenance shop is doing some crazy fabrication in place of lightbars! Instead of buying an apparatus lightbar lets just paint this big piece of metal yellow and stick 10 surface mount lights on it :)

    • @3rdWatchMediaGroup

    • @3rdWatchMediaGroup
      @3rdWatchMediaGroup 10 месяцев назад

      Low-profile is the way to go in my opinion for a personal use vehicle... as far as headlight/taillight flashers, NYS does not allow flashing red lights unless you're an authorized emergency vehicle... I may end up adding hideaway strobes in the front and rear that are Amber/White for better intersection warning though...

    • @vosce
      @vosce 3 месяца назад

      In latin countries, usually blue is for law enforcement (police, etc), red is for passage priority (rescue, emergency), yellow is for special traffic rights and white is just a differential hightlight used in pair with other one, but you still need the right to use any other to use the white one. Usually "police services" uses blue (and white), "police forces" uses blue and red (and/or yellow and/or white too). Ambulances uses red/white, civil defense rescue uses red/yellow/white, and so on. For what I know, it was mostly inspired in laws from NY at some time in past. I don't know how it could be different there right now.

    • @3rdWatchMediaGroup
      @3rdWatchMediaGroup Год назад

      Thank you for watching! For the sirens, they were traveling down what was mostly a blocked off road (no need for sirens when there's no traffic). The refill site was a hydrant at a major intersection where the water main was larger and had more pressure (compared to the smaller private mains inside of the business complex) The vehicles parked at the complex entrance were in charge of keeping track of the Tanker positions as they entered and exited the drop site near the complex... This warehouse was a fairly large one and there were approximately 60+ agencies on-scene between Fire, EMS, Police and Emergency Management.
