Hello fellow runners. My name is Mikkel Syse Grøsland, an avid runner since '92. This channel is dedicated to all the runners out there enjoying trails in the sunshine during spring, summer and early autumn. During winter I personally find using my treadmill while watching videos like these a great escape from the cold (and dark here up north), so hopefully there are like-minded souls out there. I aim to record all my runs in bright sunshine as I find cloudy days rather dull to watch. I live on the Nøtterøy island (next to the city of Tønsberg) in Norway, so these videos will be recorded where I live or nearby.

As per summer vacation tradition we (family) stayed at our cottage near Imingfjellet in Uvdal, Norway and I managed to cram in a nice morning run recording. Starting at 1070 m. above sea level (m.a.s.l.) This run was recorded during the golden hour in the evening (9:30PM in July) though it is a bit shorter than usual. Taken at an area called Hella on Notteroy island in Norway, the run follows the marked 'Kyststien' (The Coast Path) trail. I decided to travel all the way to a small town called Aasgaardstrand this time and run the fantastic coastal trail through the Borreskogen woods. Calm slow-paced trail run through the Ilene nature reserve in Tonsberg. Probably my favorite virtual trail run to date! Fantastic sunny weather around the island of Hvasser, which is basically summer cottage country in south-eastern Norway. This time I'm running around the Frognerpark in Oslo, Norway. The run is a bit shorter at just 5.9K (3.67 miles) at a 5:16/km pace (8:30/mile). This run started on Notteroy through Teieskogen to Tonsberg, Norway's oldest city. First the route leads to Ilene nature reserve (00:26:19). Then we head up to the Frodeaasen hill (00:46:29) and run through some trails there and finally run down (and up) to Slottsfjellet with a panoramic view of Tonsberg city (00:56:57). You are absolutely correct, it's Tønsberg. Where I live is spelled Nøtterøy, not Notteroy. Guess I'm trying to avoid letters outside of the English alphabet. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
