This is a great alternative to the St. Paddy's Day favorite from McDonalds! This is under 200 calories, close to 20 grams of protein and that signature mint flavor that is typically found in this drink! You can switch up the brand of protein powder you use, but we encourage vanilla flavor for this recipe. Shamrock Protein Shake Makes: 1 shake Ingredients: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup ...

Favorite margarita
Useless chopper. Get some knife skillz Brian.
You are soo sweet, thanks for the tip of crushed ice 🎉❤
Thank you for this Amazing Recipe, I make it All the time, very Tasty and filling, the only thing I do different in the recipe is that I cook the bell peppers in the oven for 55 minutes so the peppers are cooked through then I top it with Cheese, So Good!!! Thank you again for this Amazing recipe.
You were kinda light on the celery. Serrano peppers taste better. Don't think they put onion in it, but I would. Good job.
Put nuts on parchment so it will be easier to pour into the blender
Wor•ches•ter•shi•er
Need more voice over.
Can I finish this is a pressure cooker and seal them?
Soy sauce also hs gluten unless you get gluten free soy sauce.
Folks, you don't put onions in giardinera.
No vinegar and don't use olive oil. Use vegetable oil
Marconi is what most restaurants in Chicago use. It has vinegar in it as well....Only been born and raised here🎉
I LOVE the Vadaillia Chopper! I have used it for years. Can’t beat it. You can chop up a ton of veggies in no time. Well, ok, maybe not the carrots, but pretty much every thing else.
8:20 - I think we know where "aiming for the outside of the bowl" comes from.
Two comments - Real Chicago style giardiniera is made with pepperoncini, (banana peppers or serrano may be substituted - not as good, but never jalapeno). Also, the best sandwich for giardiniera is not just a roast beef, but instead, an authentic Italian beef (dipped - any Chicagoan can explain that) on crunchy Italian bread, piled high with sweet bell peppers. If the juice doesn't run down to your elbows when you lift the sandwich to your mouth, it needs further dipping. Otherwise, great video. Your husband is a hoot!
Italian style Chicago Giardiniera uses Serrano peppers, not Jalapeno's. Other than that, good video.
Or better, if available, pepperoncini
Definitely will be making theses for summer, thank you! Any chance you can make pornstar martini please?
I’m so glad! I hope you enjoy them! We have never made them before but are very interested to give it a try!

Uh. It could be in the liqour section or maybe the frozen food section . I don't know...you can put it on the salt or the sugar. I don't know
Thanks!
Great video 👍🏽
Thank you!
LOL! you two are FUNNY! I found you searching for roasted sweet potatoes & beets. I'm going to throw them into a wrap.
Hi Emilia! I hope you enjoy these roasted veggies!! And thank you!! It makes us happy to make people laugh! :)
Serrano peppers are the traditional pepper. Also taste better IMHO.
Beta
If you place the peppers face down (non shiny) it it will press through with ease
Thank you! Great to know!
Got to have lots of olives! Just sayin
Hi nikki!!! I never thought of keeping spinach in the fridge! Thanks for the tip! And I also love your intro of you two dancing!! 🥰
Hello! You are very welcome! I’m glad you are able to get some tips from us. Thank you for the support! 😊
Thanks👍👍👍👍
Enjoy!! 😀
if you actually had the recipe people use in chicago you’d know that it sits in a vinegar spice bath for 2-5 days then transferred to a jar with only refined oil.
nonetheless, it looks good
Excellent! You guy's are GREAT! Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the content! 😀
Wow u should it really well in other videos they just would chop it thinly without actually telling that we need to use down and forward way of cutting , so thank u
I’m glad you found this helpful! ☺️
Looking forward to making this!
What is your ice cream of choice??
@@cookingwiththecotas134 could I use mint chocolate chip?
@@joannezintak3858 of course! That would be DELISH!
Chicago-style giardiniera is the most perfect substance ever created by man, and Chicagoans only use it as an optional topping for one particular sandwich. Those of you who are new to this ingredient, it is magical. You can bake it into a pizza and it will still be crunchy. It's great in salads, pasta, lasagna and just about anything Italian. Do not limit yourselves like Chicago people do.
I’m a Chicagoan..We put that sh*t on everything 😂
@@greenapplepromotions Yes, but you have to admit, it reigns supreme on a good Italian beef.
Thanks for this!
Let us know if you try it and how it turns out!
Just what I was looking for. That salad looks delicious.
Let us know if you try it and how you like it! Thanks!
You two are too darn funny! 😆🤣🤣
Brian: Wait, so you're telling me that potatoes aren't a vegetable!😲 *looks at Nikki* Nikki: 😲 *looks at Brian* Brian: *looks at camera and starts laughing uncontrollably* 😂🤣😂
It took forever to get the right cut...haha!!
I live in chicago and have never made giardiniera. Your recipe will be the 1st. How ironic your father got the recipe from a chicagoan.
Let us know how you like it! Both of our families are from Chicago so when we learned how to make it we were so excited! Enjoy!!!
I can't choose which part was my favorite: Nikki trying not to say 'balls' so many times, Brian continuing to put his hand in the shot while Nikki tried to cut the cilantro, or Brian asking Nikki if spinning the pan still meant he was moving the onions!! 😂😂😂
Haha!! Thanks!! Yeah there are so many outtakes and this is just the first part!
Great episode! Have you posted a link to the knife you use? I’m looking for one but am not confident in any ive found. -Luís
Thanks Luis! We have not posted the knife but it is a Mercer. We really like this one in particular because it is light weight and easy to handle. We can post the exact one when we find it online if you’d like (Nikki was gifted it many years ago from a chef)
Potatoes are my most favorite vegetable- er, starch vegetable 😂
Yes!! Haha ours too! ;)
P.s. your kitchen looks great!
I’m going to give this one a try. Thanks!
Delicious 😋
